I'm about to default on 3 payday loans. CashnetUSA for $750.00, PaydayOK for $180.00, and an installment loan from Check n Go for $1,300.00. All on-line loans. I was just wondering how long I got until things get nasty. I expect phone calls of course right away. But, how long do you think I got until they sue, garnish, file criminal charges, or whatever else they might do? I live in Ohio BTW. Thanks for any advice.

Welcome...Can you tell us a little more?? Have you closed your bank account ?? Also an installment loan shouold not be handles the same way as an internet payday loan...you will need to make some type of arrangements with them. More than likely you will hear from them in some way as soon as the realize your payment did not go through...but they will keep trying to debit.

Hey cturner....you were previously posting as FormulaTA right?

I recall you posting that your account is indeed closed.

PaydayOk is stopped doing business in Ohio as they were not licensed. I will have to dig up some recent activity and post it on here for your information.

Cashnet is licensed and then you have the installment with Check n Go that you're paying $600 a month on but halfway done right?

Thanks for the help guys. Let me amswer some of your questions. My bank account is closed now in theory. I still need to go into a branch and sign some paperwork to close it for good. But, my direct deposit has been stopped, and they said they would'nt allow any debits until i officialy closed it. I will do this on Monday. And yes, i've paid 4 of 8 payments to Check n Go thus far. So at $300.00 a payment, I still owe around $1,200.00. This is my second loan with them. The 1st one was paid off with no problems. I called all these lenders and they were all willing to make payment arrangments. BUT, it's not going to work. I mean they still want SOME money out of each paycheck. CashnetUSA said they could take no less than $250.00 a check for 3 checks. Check n GO said they would take $150.00 every payday. And paydayok will take $35.00 each check. But add that all up and I STILL can't afford that. Thats over $800.00 a month!! I just can't do that right now. I'm too far behind on my real bills to make those payments.

These people take the payments every single week? Not just once a month or every two weeks at least? Every week they take payments out? Good God. Is there a way to work with them so that they can take payments every two weeks or once a month? Anything? Payments every week is crazy. Just crazy. I understand that they are legal and have to be dealt with, but one would think that taking payments every single week is going to drive a person to the poor house!

Lordy, Lordy, volley! You're right! I read "check" and "payday" and automatically thought paid each week. So sorry! Then I read it again after you posted and did the math (idiot!) and it seems as though it's every two weeks. Okay, okay! But, still! That's an awful lot of money out of each check! I'm sorry! Thanks for correcting me, volley. Maybe I need to put my new contacts in.............

He, He, He! We have to remember He! God, I hate it when we refer to people as he/she and we're wrong! Damn!

Just a thought as I have seen it in other posts. Does the check and go one have a program where once he goes into default they can work out a new payment? I do not remember what it was called. But if he could do that and perhaps lose some of the intrest and lower the payments would that not be the way to go?
As far as the illegal one....definately put that on the bottom of your to worry about list.
Also if no one has mentioned it..try not to deal with any of them via phone as far as payments or information try to keep everything usps or email. That way if something should comeup you have a paper trail. I know you said the one company was legal, but even with them, keep a paper trail a mile long for verification that you are doing everything proper should you wind up in default.
