Received a Letter From a CA For a CC; Already Sent Proposal
Date: Thu, 11/01/2007 - 07:26
Now I get a letter in the mail yesterday from a CA.. saying that they'd like to set out a payment plan with me.. now I'd love to do it, but they don't have the $50 credited that I already sent the original creditor last week. So I don't know what to do. I don't know if the original creditor is going to accept my original proposal (which would get this paid off a lot sooner than if I went with the CA installment plan).. and well I'm at a loss.
I told wrote the original creditor that I'd continue with payments mailed out on the 1st and 16th of every month - well today's the first, and I don't know what to do!!!
Any suggestions???

Alright well I called up the credit card company's 1-800# listed on my report, which ended up directing me to the CA for some reason or another.. I don't know how that happened, I'm guessing the CA is actually part of the CC company (which is part of GE Bank which runs dozens of store charge cards). Anyway, I kept getting either disconnected or directed to someone's vociemail, and I'm not about to leave them a message.
I'm going to send a MO for $50 to the CA today - should I include a letter stating that $50 was paid to the original creditor back in October, so I'd like these two payments to be reflected on an updated statement? I know these companies will hornswaggle anything they can out of you, so I just want to make sure the money I sent actually is put to my account!!
Thanks! =)
