Also, you could send them a debt validation letter. There is one located in the Do it yourself section at the top of the page (under the ranking chart tab). Do it as quickly as you can and fax and e-mail it to them. In the letter and on the fax cover sheet, put that a copy will be mailed via USPS on (whatever date). All the information you need to do this on the above post. Be sure to put today's date on it and be sure to sign it. This should help keep them from calling you. Also, note the date, time and who called and what was said for documentation.

Also, if you have verbally told this guy that you are not allowed to receive calls at work, he has to stop, he probably won't so I would get his fax number and type up a notice stating that he needs to "cease and desist" from further calls at your work and home and if he wants to contact you he may do so by either email or usps. That's the law, he can not harrass you at work...

Mrs. Dee is correct in the no contact clause. You should add this into the debt validation letter. By law you are allowed to request validation of the debt from this company and they have to provide that to you. During this time all collection activity should cease, including phone calls. You do need to request this in writing becuase without it, you have no grounds to file and complaints against them. Do not talk to them anymore and please do the letter. The one in the DIY section is generic. I found mine by using the search box in the top right corner and using bits and pieces from several letters. If you have registered, I would be happy to share mine. I had the same situation and once I typed and faxed my letters (with followup by USPS) the calls stopped immediately.
