Something I was thinking about in regards to CAs

Having companies out there that will stop at nothing to claim ungodly amounts of money from these people may destroy the lower class which could cause a chain reaction. What happens when you take out a structures foundation?
Food for thought...

Yes, but on the other hand, if all consumers knew their rights, and would indeed sue them, they wouldn't last long either. This would be much more than just a cost of doing business. This is the only way the violaters stay in business: the consumer caves to them, or, doesn't know his/her rights, and rarely sues.

Yeah, I'm about to file suit against NCO financial for 90k in FCRA violations. But it's not even going to make a dent in them. But at least I can bite back. Even after they just recently paid out 1.5 million in FCRA violations. I wonder if there might be anyway for the FTC to pull all the tradelines they submitted for an audit?
Whoa 90K on violations?? When are u gonna file ur suit

Yes Ang, FCRA provides civil action of up to $2,500 per violatio
Yes Ang, FCRA provides civil action of up to $2,500 per violation or 1% of the companies net worth, whichever is less (sadly it is 2.5k per violation being the lesser) My attorney is gathering information and once we get everything in line she will be sending process to their registered agent. From my understanding, since we have the FCRA to fall back on a well as current copies of my credit report with the violations on there it will pretty much be open and shut. I really want to find a way (since they apparently never learned their lesson with the 1.5 million they had to pay out recently) to have their reported tradelines audited. I think I will need to speak with the FTC and the PA attorney generals office in regards to that.

What kinds of violations, or is it that there are many NCO accounts?

Ok, NCO is reporting 4 accounts, and they are reporting with each of the 3 major credit reporting agencies. That's 12 accounts total. Let's see here, they have no open dates on transunion, they were re aged on experian and equifax. They are listed as open accounts and the type of account is listed as factoring accounts. Thats 3 violations per trade line, with 12 trade lines. Theres 36 violations, per suable at $2,500 per violations (or 1% of CAs net worth) is $90,000 My attorney is loving this, she gets 20% Which is going to be $18,000 for her.

the hospital in the years that they mentioned were work related injuries, and therefore covered by state worker compensation commission, which paid them in full.
At first I didn't recall the accounts as I have no outstanding medical accounts (except one that went to collections with another CA and I'm paying on that per the agreement they the CA and I drafted and signed/photocopied) when I told them this a supervisor (working for the CA that is managing the account for NCO called RSM out of St Paul, MN) told me if I cant remember I need to go back to the doctor and have my brain checked. I was also told that I am a professional debtor when I requested information on their registered agent to file suit against them following that.

WOW JCEMT WTG!!!
IF only more people knew their rights and would stand up to companies like this maybe just maybe they would get the idea and start to back off, or perhaps the gov. would shut em down.
Let us know how things turn out...Im cheering for you:)
