A check or a Money Order?

I want to send Unifund a check per my settlement agreement but I've heard only mail them Money Orders so they wont have your banking information? True?

Does it really matter the form of payment you send them?

Postal money orders are probably the next best thing to a cashiers check. They come with a federal guarantee attached to them, the CA can always come back and claim that the money order was fraudulent and we all know that CAs love money and would use those tactics.

What I guess everybody is saying, just not Directly enough for you, is YES.
If this is not the total amount due they can take your info from the check and create an electronic check for any amount they want and your bank will accept it.
They can do this even if it is the total amount due.
