Palisades Collection LLC Ruined my life

Get an attorney stat, you might be able to get out of this if you were not served with a summons and notice of claim if this were in small claims court or summons and complaint if it were in civil/local (or city) within the 5 boroughs.

They also froze all my check account and threat me that they will take out 75% of my pay check..is this true? Also does anyone know they toll free number?

Call an attorney and explain to him the situation. Ask him if it's possible to vacate due to dysfunctional service pursuant to the CPLR.

I don't lnow about New York, but generally 25% is the max allowed by law. Also, follow hockeyman's advice (he is an attorney in New York).

I got two judgment from this collection and this is "Civil claim judgment" one from county and one from city. I know both of them are missed date (i received the mail after the court date). I never deal something like this before and this happen while i am was in college (stupid mistake I made).

1. I know they send me the letter after the court date and I cant find that letter to proof (what should i do?)

2. I try to call them but no luck..cant find they number.

any help are very very appreciate

Unfortunately, I do not handle many cases upstate; the farthest I practice is Dutchess with the exception of 2 cases up in Monroe county (only because the client is a very good client). Which county are you located in?

I have some resources up there, I am going to make some phone calls in the morning and try and set you up with an attorney up there or somewhere in the vicinity of the city. This really should be an open and shut scenario as you are not well versed in the law, it won't be that much for the attorney handling it; it's basic motion practice.

I email and ask of one of the attorney. he told me that the best way for me is to file chapter 7? which is the last things i want to do

I'd have thought he would have suggested Chapter 13, which protects assets.

I just found out that the Palisades put default judgment /summon something like that.. s

my question is, should i contact the palisades make a payment or get a lawyer to remove the judgment? in this situation what is the best way for me.
