I was thinking: what if we each listed here in this thread one or two of each of our favorite recipes. Nothing else allowed in this thread and 1 recipe to a post. Then after a while each of us could print off all the posts and staple them together or put them in a folder (maybe one that we used to use for bills we no longer have..LOL) and Bingo!! We have a recipe book of favorites from all our friends here.

I made this last night:
Burgundy Pot Roast
2 1/2 lb. pot roast/chuck roast
rubbed with garlic and browned very well in olive oil
Quartered potatoes
Whole carrots cleaned
3 quartered small/med onions
Fresh cleaned green beans
I lay some of the potatoes and carrots in the bottom of the crock pot and lay the roast on top. Then dump all the other veggies in there. Salt and pepper to taste.
Add 2 cups of beef broth or bullion
1 to 1/2 cups of burgundy
I set the crock pot on high for 1 hour and then on low for 6.
Served with hot bisquits.

Wonderful meat for burritos or flat bread...
1 and 1/2 lb chuck roast
2 7oz cans green chilis
1 16 oz bottle taco SAUCE
1 packet taco seasoning
1 medium onion, sliced
put roast and onion in crockpot. Combine taco seasoning and 1 cup water and pour over roast. Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hrs or until tender.
when meat is done, cool. Shred meat with two forks (this can be tedious) and put back in crockpot(make sure you empty all juices and onion from crock first) dump in taco sauce and chilis and stir up. Heat on high for about a half an hour, stirring frequently.
This is AMAZING!! Cook up some rice and layer rice, meat, and any taco toppings on flatbread or flour tortillas. make sure you use burrito size tortillas, since this is really thick!
