Has anyone compiled a list of what internet payday loans are illegal in Ohio? Or what internet payday loan companies are legal in Ohio?

Just because a state pdl law states "applies to check cashiers only", do not assume that means that all internet pdls are illegal in that state. That might be what's throwing people off regarding Ohio. That is not the case.

OSU Fan, Payday Select is pretty easy to deal with. How much did you borrow from them and pay back so far? They were quick to settle with me for the principle once I told them I knew they were operating in OH illegally. CTC is a serious pain in the a$$ but the attorney general's office finally got them off my back. Let me know if you need help with these places. 500 Fast Cash just plain ignored me. I never got anywhere with them but they didn't harass me either.

CTC is a serious pain!!! I don't know if they are going to cooperate with T & C or if they will even respond to them................I don't want to be discouraging but CTC is just hard to deal with. I attempted many times to make payment arrangements with them and they wouldn't take what I had to offer, even though it was reasonable. In the end, they were contacted by the Ohio AG's office and once that happened, they marked me paid in full and I never heard from them again. Good luck, and let me know what happens with CTC. They are a crazy bunch.

Help! I have an online payday loan with pay-day-yes and I need them to stop calling me. I've already had a hard block done on my checking account. I want to try and recoup some of the money they withdrew. Took out a $350 loan with them and they have withdrawn over $800. I live in Ohio and need to know how I may go about getting some of my money back. Thanks!

You need to file complaints with the Ohio Attorney General and also the FTC. Did you send an illegal lender letter to pdy? If not, send them one explaining exactly WHY they aren't getting any more of your money and demand that they refund what you've overpaid. Refunds are hard to come by so, don't hold your breath but, be very glad that you've protected your account from further theft. :)
