Credit Freeze??

Ang A credit freeze is just what it says.No one can pull your report and the only ones that can review it are current creditors. Check out each bureau for more information.

Is it a good idea?? SO this will prevent CA's from pulling ur report too?

The pros and cons are for you to decide. New creditors will not be able to see reports unless you unfreeze it.

Right Cajun, i'd have to unfreeze it if i were to apply for any kinda credit but i dont' plan on doing that anytime in the near future!!! :shock:

Yeah looks like there could be perks and some negatives...for job seekers off the top of my head, if you freeze your account then the company you're applying to wouldn't be able to pull it. could be good could be bad. i think if you're hounded (and by you I don't mean you Ang :) with collection agencies and such, the freezing may not be a bad idea. i think it's a personal decision. I've heard of this long ago and did not think much about it until now, good topic!

Here's something I've always wondered..Is it really significant when someone checks your credit? Is it really that negative? It has never affected me in any way, but I'm curious.
