You can see lots of similar posts in this forum. Ellis Crosby's unfair activities are well known nowadays. There is nothing to get scared.

Ellis Crosby tries to extract money by threatening people, please understand debt collection is not possible without debt validation. If they call again, you tell them that you want something in writing and ask them not to call you at work any more.

Do not be scared of them. The Florida Attorney Generals office has filed a lawsuit against them for false practices and threatening people. When they called me, they told me that they were going to come arrest me at my job and CPS would be showing up at my house to take my 3 year old daughter.

All the threatening used by Ellis Crosby is getting older. Whenever you doubt about any company, I suggest you to do a research about that company online before you make any false move.

I was also a victim of their harrasment. In June of 2005 I paid the amount of the loan which was twice as much from the original amount. A couple of days ago a received a phone call from another company telling me that the loan has not been paid. What should I do? I don't have any proof that I already paid the loan.

Welcome to the forums. You can check your latest credit report from the three bureaus and verify the standing of the said account. Usually, the credit file is updated with the bureaus once the payment is made in full.

If it has not been done, you should contact the agency whom you paid the amount. Request them to update the information of your account as it is hurting your credit file. I hope they will check your accounts in their system and update the bureaus.

I recieved a call today from a ms alexander and she threatened that i would be arrested fro fraud and i couldnt settle the debt i would be issued ppaers to show up to court ,plus she said i recieved all this money from cash advances which i didnt and i told her i wanted something in writing and she said she wanted my boss's name and phone number and i would be going to jail ,this is the second place that has called me and told me i was going to jail for fraud because of a cash advance for 200.00 but they wanted 746.00 in 24 hours so i was so scared and plus they are harrassing me on my job .ellis crosby and associates will tell you anything and they also told me the account cant not be satisfied because i was being charged in my state of pennsylvania

Your story sounds exactly what happened to me last month. Ellis Crosby threatened me with arrest and federal charges. They told me they would take my computer and fine my company because it was used in the commission of a federal crime. Then this guy went as far as saying "I just drove by your office and need to know what building you are in so that I can come by and process you and confiscate your computer". Girl, I freaked!! Eventually, I told him I was recording him and he hung up. Then I went looking for answers and found this forum. It is the best thing and can help you protect yourself against illegal and abusive collection agencies like Ellis Crosby.

Rest assured, you are not going to be arrested and no charges are being file against you. Ellis Crosby is being sued by the Florida AG because of the same thing that has happened to you, me and so many others. Read all through these forums and you will see that EC is bad news.



1) They CAN NOT and WILL NOT file any criminal charges against you and have you arrested, just them implying this or stating this is ILLEGAL.

2) You dont have to pay them a dime until they send you information so that you can validate the debt and their right to collect it.
