You know, I've been working all evening on a "plan" to get of this mess...I hate this. I can't belive I did this! I came up with a plan that would allow me to pay each lender 52.25 a payday. I'm just discouraged. I'm so fearful they will not take my plan. I so don't want to go to court! It scares me to death! My husband says not to worry they can't get money if we don't have any. But that is easier said then done. I'm hoping to take some vacation time at the end of the week. I've decided I'm just going to be brave and call each one and let them know what I can do. This might sound crazy, but have any of you actually asked them to go ahead and take you to mediation? I was thinking we might as well go ahead and set it up so I can stop worrying then I'll know what I must do. I'm so glad I have all of you to listen to me while I "go crazy". There are to many things to think about here. I could pay each one a little every pay or pay one at a time. I just don't know what the best course of action should be. I hope you all have a good week, Reny:)

Hi Reny...mca gives good information and i think you were given a website too to maybe check out. i think that you are taking action and as long as you're taking steps to pay you should be ok. i think you have the right course of action and call your companies and just let them know what's happening. it should be documented that you called. I know I have had to contact my creditors before and most worked with me though Dell didn't and still won't. but I would have never known who will work with me and who wouldn't until i contacted them to see. be brave and call...let us know how you're doing. once you take some action you will feel better trust me, it's hard to contact your creditors but try they should be professional at the very least and let you know whether they'll help you.

Reny..I have been there and done that...was scared and very nervous. Once you start talking it becomes easier..if you have credit cards most of those companies will work with you..payday loans are a little different..most will want the whole amount owed. Check out debt consolidation companies...I am currently using one and all my debts are with them..they set-up a plan within my budget...I did have to contact each of my creditors and let them know...but I am now in my third month with them..I have peace of mind...and only one is not co-operating with my counselor. Good luck to you..you can do it!!!

Lren - You are talking about payday loans, right? I think the info MCA provided is for normal debts like credit cards.

I don't know of anyone that has gone through mediation with a payday lender. Most don't take it that far. But if they are recieving a payment every month, they aren't very likely tp go and sue you.

lren is talking about storefronts. And, yes, calling them is the best thing in the world to do. Maybe not asking them to take you directly to mediation; however, calling to see what the next step would probably be good. This way your mind will be put at ease and you won't make yourself crazy. Plus the fact that the main thing with storefronts is communication. They need communication.
