debt-settlement--who is legitimate?

WOuld someone please tel me what companies out there are legitimate in the area of debt-consolidation. PLease dont just tell me to work with company. I am going nuts looking for a legitimate company

I enrolled for a consolidation program with this company. I further checked it in the BBB and the FTC if they have any consumer complaints against them. I found this company to my satisfaction and moved ahead with the consolidation program. Also, the consumers' offices have not heard anything about them from the people in any negative way.
I will suggest you to do a proper research about a company in the BBB, State attorney General Office and the FTC thoroughly before making risky financial decisions.
