Does any one have a letter they might have used to give to there bank to close the account or to put a stop on all eft /ach or somthing

I would also suggest going to the bank in person. I did speak with mine via email at first seeing what my options were, but I had to go into the actual bank to actually close my account. I was really uncomfortable and scared at doing this, but my particular bank was very kind and helpful. They explained my options and we closed my account ounce all the pdl's hit and they cut me a check for my direct deposit and reopened a new account for me leaving my pdl's on a closed account. The sooner you take care of it the better you will feel. Taking control and acually having your money in your hands feels awesome!

cam, they are not going to "link" your savings account to anything that comes through, are they? Since you "kept" the savings account?

cam, to be honest, I would call them and ask point blank "If anything comes through on that closed account, it will not hit my savings account, correct?" I get very paranoid when a person keeps an account open (and it's fine!) but I like to get it in writing, if possible, that that account will not be touched if pdls come in from the closed account. Just my opinion and me being paranoid here.

Thanks, cam! I would just HATE for you to think your money is "safe" and then find out they took it out of your savings account!
