How do i close this is account

Hello , I have a credit Union acount district gov employee federal credit union through my job which i have switch my direct deposit to commerce bank . I have a credit card ( Visa ) over draft protection and a personal loan i really like this bank it's just not convenient and i have the Payday loan hell going on right now and i need to close this account . What do you suggest ? What i have done so far is sent some of my direct deposit to another bank and left direct deposit in the credit union enough to pay my over draft / vise bill and my personal loan

You would need to go in to close out the account, the concern they will have is that they will need to know if anything else is going to come into the account in the next 30 days. But they should still be able to close the account ..you may need to put stop payments on the checks for the pay day loans if they are still outstanding
