I had written a few months ago here about the loan I had gotten from geneva roth for $300 and was given some valuable information about filing complaints with the BBB and State Banking Dept. However, I also filed a complaint with Missouri Finance.org regarding this company since they were located in Missouri and these people sent me an e-mail saying they contacted geneva roth and was told that I was not a customer with them and so was I satisfied with their response? How am I supposed to prove that I was a customer if I never received any paperwork from them , only an account # ? I also was told by the Alabama State Banking Dept that unfortunately, they could not do anything because they can't locate this company? I haven't heard anything else from Geneva Roth but the last thing that guy said to me on the phone was that they were turning my account over to an attorney?

Lisa, I am not an expert at this. I am responding to move this up to the top so maybe someone else will see it. I know that pdls often threaten attorneys, police, jail etc. to scare people into paying. In my experience I have had four turned over to collection agencies and it has been better. I actually have recourse on the way I have been treated.

lisa, do you have documentation from Missouri Finance stating that Geneva Roth said you "are not a customer"? If so, keep it. Otherwise, I might add that Geneva Roth might not consider you a "customer" if they have turned you over to collections. Have you been contacted by any collection agency regarding this loan?
