I recently defaulted on a loan with Cashtransfercenters and through research here and other forums have discovered they are not licensed in my State (Oklahoma), or any other state for that matter.
I was reading over my loan agreement and have found NOTHING mentioning wage assignment. Are they changing their tactics, or should I look for different wording? I'm considering sending a letter revoking wage assignment to them and to my employer as a CYA measure.

Information? Advice?
Thanks,
Jennifer

I've already contacted my payroll office and advised them of what may happen and to expect my letter this week. I talked to one of the CTC reps at lunch today when he called (Reg Turner). He adv me that they would probably start a wage assignment and I let him know that I've already sent a letter to revoke (by e-mail, fax, and snailmail, no less) and that my payroll office has been notified. Also let him know that I was aware that they are not licensed in my state, and BTW, did I mention that I'm a state employee...I think for a moment he was stunned.

Next question, does anyone know anything about cashsupply? I've already checked and they're not licensed here either. I've paid through the nose to them. over 500.oo on a 200.oo loan.

For the two ligit companies that I owe, should I also do the wage assignment letter to them? They seem willing to work with me, but I want to protect myself.

They also contacted me too. My HR department received a fax but mistakenly handed it to me. I called them directly inquiring about it & they were basically threatening me that if I didn't settle by a certain date then it would be taken care of by my payroll department. My Payroll Dept said it didn't look like a valid court document to her & wouldn't honor it. How can I fight this thing? I'm in California.

My husband was receiving phone calls at work from ????an"????nd ?????nthony"and he had to ge nasty with them. In the meantime we had sent a wage assignment revocation letter, now they are calling the 2 personal references he listed and they called to let us know that these guys want for him to return their calls needless to say he told these two friends to ignore them and to tell them we have moved and they do not have our new phone or address. He went through the whole smear, contacting AG's Office, BBB, FTC, and closed the checking account! "The last time they called was Tuesday 11/13/07 and our friends told them they did not know where we had moved or the new phone number. Can't wait to see what they'll do next!
