Hi out there, can anyone tell me if UpFrontPayday
is legal in Ohio? I just can't find any info about them. thanks :)
(also Cash Transfer Center, out of British Columbia, the address is Malta, they are driving me nuts with phone calls)

osu, you are aware that Cash Transfer Centers is notorious for sending wage assignments, correct? If not, please reply right away to this post. They will send a wage assignment to your employer.

You need to do a letter to CTC revoking any wage assignments. Simply write "I revoke any wage assingments I may have signed with you or your affiliates.' Then sign it. Be sure to give a copy to the payroll department. Or atleas let the payroll department know this illegal company may try to send a wage assignment.

Thanks, roxy! :D That pretty much covers it, osu! Do NOT freak out, okay? You've got 2 loans out with them? They might send one out on each one if they don't receive their payment. Now, you need to do this now (as posted above). However, they may wait (and they did it to me) like a couple MONTHS before they send the wage assignment. Amazing. They might even just fax it if they can get a fax number for your employer. They might mail it to your employer. Just be sure you've sent it to CTC, kept a copy for yourself, and give a copy to your HR/Payroll person. Hell, just tell them this illegal company got your information (whatever) and are now harrassing you and you're just covering yourself. If your HR/Payroll department is "educated" regarding wage assignments, they will know this is not a "legal" wage assignment. If they do happen to send this through and it causes you any problems, we have a member here who is in HR. She can help you out of it. Do not worry. CTC does this to EVERYONE. We can help you if they get sneaky. But do this to cover yourself ahead of time.

i decided last night to quit whining and help myself, so i typed in *wage assignment* up there in the search. within 15 minutes i had them a paper typed up for each loan, and my husband had faxed it immediately. we are going to send them a certified copy as well, but wanted to get it out asap. i also have one for the company, i do not think they will let an assignment go through. CTC got us for 2 loans because they had paid one and reloaned the 2nd before the first one had even paid (like the same day) and when the smoke cleared from all the rubber bouncing, we ended up with 2 loans from the crooks. what a mess. everytime i start feeling the crunch and start feeing stupid for our financial mistakes , i make myself stop it and look to the future, when we will be out of this mess and have T & C well paid. THANKS and HUGS to all of you, or we'd never have known what to do!

I have the best news, husband's comapny is on the ball, they will not honor any WA without both spouse's written consent, we submitted a copy the fax we made to CTC along with an explanation and he talked to his HR dept. this morning. they will not be honoring any WA that CTC tries to send through. I am so relieved! :D

osu, this is awesome! Your husbands employer is apparently "educated". I am so happy to hear this. One more that CTC won't get!

OSU, We are happy to be here to help. It keeps us going when we hear the good things that happen and gives us the fortitude to help the ones that can not seem to catch a break. And the baked goods are a great idea. My sisters friend does a glass jar witht he recipe attached and the baking items in it...and she does the two mugs (from the dollar store) with the jar of coco and marshmellows.
