I am in major credit card dept. Around a year ago I recieved a settlement from a major accident that I was in a few years ago. I was also working a job that was paying at a decent wage. I decided to get a couple credit cards and make purchases on them then pay them off every month in order to help build my credit. A few months into my wife's pregancy she started to have some heart complications. These complications became worse after delivery forcing me to stay home and that in turn lost me my job. I have been working to pay off these credit cards and I just cant seem to get ahead at all with the raising interest rates.

Hi, welcome to the forums. I hope your wife is doing better now..

Have you considered consolidation? It's not always for everyone, but it might be for you. Since you've registered, a professional counselor will call you in a few days. Ask them any questions you have, they can explain the differences between debt consolidation and settlement and tell you about reputable companies. Please remember to always check any company you might use with the BBB. Good luck!

Sorry about your wife-hope she is doing better & baby is ok too!

Apply for a consultation-that way you can see what your options are.

Also have you contacted your creditors? They might be able to help you out if you explain to them your wife's condition with the pregnancy. Its worth a shot!

Best of luck & keep us updated!!
