Welcome to the Community Charlie :D I called my credit card ocmpanies and talked with them. I told them I was trying to get out of debt and with the high interest, I couldn't. I asked them if they could drop my interes so I could get it paid off sooner., two did.

Some of them wait until you are in default before dropping or lowering your interest.It doesn't hurt to ask!
