I knew the 44, because I've lived in the UK for a year. So when I saw it I figured it was one of the UK PDLs... But I didn't know which ones they were and such....

call me crazy, but if I call it back do you think they will say their name, that would probably cost a lot of money too huh?

You do have point about that...the $$. I would just wait for them to call again and then talk to them. You can always hang up if things get too out of hand. Can you narrow it down by going through your pdls and verifying phone numbers, from paperwork, google or bbb.

this number is for leads global aka cash2day4u aka cash today limited, BIG, route 66 among others...do not take calls from this number and do not call the number back.

deeann, glad you read this post. and Lren, Poko is right, they are the criminals. If they were legit, they would not be acting like this.

it is the head honcho of this company. they are not calling to sell you something they are calling to collect and they are not nice people...please take my advice and do NOT take their calls

Leads Global would be the company name I assume, the one that is the larger company behind all of those other PDLs.....

it is not payday one, they are located here in the US and are licensed in certain states, the person calling you from that +44 number is from the UK and is not affiliated w/ payday one.

Guess so, just another dba for a big evil company.... Now that you know, you don't have to answer your phone now. Keep ignoring them and you won't have to deal with angry people with accents who you can't understand at all!

Deann, very puzzled, I honestly don't have any that I know of that are not in the states. Some person calling from 800-555-0433 just called and asked for some other person, maybe I've lucked out and they were calling for her? Who knows, but I won't answer if that number calls back. Thanks

earlier this year i got a call from a number similar to that, it was bogus lotto scam, they told me that i had won 500,000 dollars, they sent me something in the mail, a certified check for 5000 dollars then i called the bank that it was written on, and they told me that it was a scam, so be careful

BIG states they are located in the US state of Nevada, but they aren't it is just a coverup in order to get people to do business with them.

Here is what I propose. If you have unlimited or free calling on your phone, spend 5 or 10 minutes calling them back, say nothing, eventually the rep will diconnect. Call em back again, continually, 5 or 10 minutes. Do this everytime you get a call from them. Eventually, with enough of us doing it to them, maybe they will change what they do on their end. If not, at least you have the fun of annoying the company by making them pay employees to waste ten minutes of their time. 800-555-0433

Ok, I've received a call from a John Smith from this number 559-399-0358. And he left a voicemail and he was threatening as usual. He never said who he was with are representing and that my retaining lawyer should call me back or I would be in trouble. I've gotten calls like this before but they had stopped.

Did a search on the 5593990358 #; sounds like another scammer/bottom feeder collection agency - the usual type of call, someone with a heavy accent, you must contact our office immediately, and then they wish you good luck. If they call again, hang up on 'em .

I received the same call from 559-399-0358. They called my cell no and left a message, then called my work number and said they had an urgent legal matter against my social security number and I needed to have my attorney contact them immediately. I asked what was the name of the company and he said American Legal services, but refused to give me their address. He said he could only release that information to my attorney. The voice mail message also wished me good luck and they had an heavy accent. I am tired of getting these calls. I've blocked unknown numbers from my phone and any numbers I know they are calling from. Somehow some of the unknown numbers have gotten through so they could leave a message. These calls are very annoying and are nothing but scams! Can someone please tell me what can be done to stop these calls!

Not much, honestly. You should file a police report first. Other than that, talk to them one time, and one time only and tell them that you are aware this is a scam, you've filed a police report and to not call you again. They may continue to call for a brief period after that but, just ignore the calls. Tell anyone you may have used as a reference to do the same and let them know you've been a victim of fraud. They eventually stop when they realize they aren't going to get anything from you. Although, they generally resurface a few years later. Just repeat the cycle and don't let it get to you.

Don't put up with any crap from them. They are running an international fraud, identity theft and extortion ring.

Here's what you do: call them back at that number - OVER and over again! Block your number, then call them up and curse them out, insult their ancestors, mothers, and do anything else that will get under their skin. And then rinse and repeat.....and repeat........and repeat........and show no mercy.

I had one of them practically crying for me to stop calling, but did I stop? No way! And I won't stop until they stop harassing me and my fellow citizens, and not one moment before.

Not only will you feel better, but think: if they are getting thousands of calls like that daily, think of how it would affect their little criminal enterprise.

I agree they are rude and unprofessional, and my memory is not bad that i would forget taking out a loan. they must be fraudelent what scares me is how much they know abuot me. :confused:
