having problem with big i informed them that they are illegal in washington, dc they stated that they have a office in nevada and that i must pay 425 on a 200 loan what should i do i already paid a fee of 80 and i informed them that i would send them 120 which will be the amount paid in full what should i do??

They are a totally illegal operation that is based in the UK. Pay them what you feel you owe and that is that. Do not listen to all there crap. They have no legal means of collecting anything and will threaten you with the most rediculous stuff. Just keep hanging up on them. They will go away for a while and then start again. Just hang up again. They operate under many names. Do not talk to them as their apparently commisioned collection people will get encouraged and keep bothering you. Just say no and hang up.

kate, do not take the calls from these people. As frog posted, they are highly illegal. If they call you, hang up. They have NO legal recourse to collect this money from you. What they will do is try to harrass you. Do not take their calls. File complaints against them with the BBB, the FTC, and your state AG. They can NOT access your bank account any longer, correct?

Okay, let's get the "simple" part out of the way. They are not licensed. They are feeding you crap. Please believe me. They have a "drop box" address in Nevada. Not a physical location anywhere in the US. They are lying regarding that. Now, about the wage assignment. You will need to type up a letter revoking any wage assignment you have signed with them. It can be short and to the point. Just type their information at the top, then type: "I, (state your name), revoke any and all wage assignments I have signed with your company, your partners, or any affiliates." Then type your name. Done. Keep a copy, give a copy to your HR/payroll person, email/fax/mail certified the hard copy to the idiots at BIG. Do this now to cover your butt. You need to have it revoked before they have the opportunity to send it to your employer. Now, they may not ever send one. But, then again, they may. Do it just to be on the safe side.

They called me a few days ago after not hearing from them in over three months. He said he was from the legal department and ask me if I wanted to settle or choose to ignore. I said I owed him nothing and did not need to speak with him and hung up. He never called back because he wanted to find someone who could be intimidated. Do not let them intimidate you. They are illegaly operating in this country. They go by the name BIG, GFSIL, Route 66 funding and several others. The don't even have anything in writing that you signed. It was probably done over the phone and you were told they were recording you verbal contract. BS. They have nothing!

I can only stress to file a complaint against these guys with everyone - especially the FTC.
