Does this mean my loan in Paid in full? Or are they going to think about it and then let me know if my loan is PIF?

tina, YOU ARE PAID IN FULL! Please keep this FOREVER! Congratulations to you, tina! It's been considered PIF! :D

Yes, that is what it means. Be careful though, posting confidential info can get you into trouble. This one should be okay, but just a reminder to all - If your PIF letter says it must be kept confidential, don't post it. Just post a "summary" - Don't disclose the specifics or else they company could trace it back to you and you could be out more money then you can imagine.

WOOHOO!! I am so excited. I thought they would fight me on this. Here is what my first email said that I wrote to them:

PayDay OK of Delaware, LLC dba PayDay OK
42 Read's Way, Suite B
New Castle, DE 19720

My Loan Account # (removed for your safety.cannr)

I already sent an email, but I have not heard from you so I am contacting you again.

To Whom It May Concern,

After doing research on internet payday loan laws in the state of Pennsylvania, I have found that your internet payday loans are actually illegal in my state. I have also found out what the laws of Delaware are in general:

I have contacted the PENNSYLVANIA'S Office of Financial Institutions and the Delaware State Attorney General????????s Office regarding your internet payday loans and was informed they are indeed even though they are legal in your state of Delaware , they are still illegal in my state.

I have currently paid $267.51 on my $350 DOLLARS loan. The legal amount that could have been charged to my loan is the principal amount of $9.50 cap per $100 DOLLARS borrowed. even if your internet pay day loan was legal in Delaware. I have paid $267.51 on this loan by your debits of my bank account and only owe $110.99 to have this paid in full. I am willing to pay this amount of loan , as advised by my Department of Financial Institutions and my state Attorney General's office.

Furthermore, I demand a physical address to mail payments to, as you are no longer authorized to debit my bank account. You must provide me with a physical address to mail my payments. I will not Money Gram or Western Union any payment. If no physical address is provided for me to mail payment to, no payment will be made.

I demand that any contact be made through US Postal mail or email only. I will need everything in writing to keep accurate records of all communication as per instruction from my state Attorney General's Office.

I prohibit you or your affiliates to contact me via telephone at my place of employment or my home telephone number. I also prohibit you from calling my references listed on my loan. Once I inform you of this, you must stop the telephone contact immediately or you will be breaking the laws of the state of Pennsylvania.

You are also hereby notified that I am revoking any voluntary wage assignment I may or may not have signed. I no longer authorize you, your company, or your affiliates to attach any part of my wages or contact my employer for your collection purposes.

I am revoking your right to debit my checking account any longer. You, your company, or your affiliates are not authorized to debit my checking account at all. Please be aware that I have informed my financial institution of this situation and they will also be receiving a copy of this correspondence. Any further attempts at debiting my account will be rejected by my financial institution. And if payments do go through I am prepared to take the neccessary steps to reverse those charges as you are no longer authorized to do so.

I must also inform you that I am prepared to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and my state Attorney General's Office, if it becomes neccessary.

I expect a response from your company , regarding this matter. This response may only come via US Postal mail or email. No telephone contact is permitted. I must also inform you that I have also sent a certified letter to your company regarding this matter. I went by Pennsylvania's requirement that I must revoke ACH debit no later than 3 days before any payments due......which I have indeed done. My payment is not due until 12-3-07. If you attempt to debit my account as soon as you recieve this email, And/Or my certified later, I am well advised of what actions I can take on this, and will do it, as it will be illegal for you to do this.

Please respond , regarding this matter by US Postal mail or by email only.

My question is even though they have considered my loan PIF should I still atleast pay $110.99 that by my calculations I still owe?

I know some of the facts in my email to them were wrong, but atleast it worked!!

tina, they are considering your loan PAID IN FULL. That means do not send them any more money. You are done.

I do intend to keep on fighting. I just sent another email to the other companies that are being difficult or have not responded to me. I have explained that I am not trying to get out of what I borrowed, but I am trying to get fair fees charged to me, that way I can pay them back, without having to default.

I have always (and still do) believed to pay back what you borrow

Tina, your getting a PIF is more than some people get...take it and run!!! You still have three more to work on and you need to concentrate on getting them taken care of.

I agree with you, and I am gonna work on the other 3 until I get all of them taken care of

I wish for things to work out for everyone!!!

This has been a great experience for me as well tina and like Roxy said, take the one pif you have now and run. They obviously know that they have no grounds to stand on. You may still owe a bit to them but I'm sure you can find something to do with that money that will make you feel good about yourself. Just imagine how many people they have conned out of a lot of money.
