Omg, pay your bills again....

Well J, We all know that there are CA's and PDLs who troll the boards looking for info. I would not be surprised if yes , a lot just try to shame us or demoralize us. I suppose it is what they do best.

I know....we get this sort of "guest" once in a while. I used to rant and rave at them, then I just decided to stop...what's the point? They obviously have never seen hard times in their life - they must all be living high on the hog, able to pay all their bills on time, with no bad things happening in their lives that cause them to have to choose between food on the table or paying a bill.

I wish them well. But I also hope they realize we've seen their kind before....and we'll see them again....and nothing they say here will really affect anyone. Ever.

On the other hand, what WE say here, when we give advice, help out our fellow man, and offer a shoulder to lean on during hard times...THAT does affect people...and in the best way possible.

Think about that before posting, "pay your bills" guest.

Your right Sue, that is the main reason that I stay around here. I love to help people, and I hate to see people get put through the abuse that I see on here from certain CAs.

I normally pick apart their post to see if I have a reason to delete their nonsense.If left up to me I would ban on sight as that is the absolute last thing someone needs is to be kicked and mauled while already down. We do have several collectors on this section that are either guests or members that give fair advice and I respect them for giving me and others their point of view as long as the discussion remains civil.

FYI is a perfect example of that. I don't always agree with what she has to say but it's always fairly sound and quite civil. She's quite an advocate of "if it's your pay it" which I agree with. But she has no problem stepping in and saying when a collection agency has done wrong. I respect her.

Some collectors might troll these forums, but evidently it's not to learn anything. If they were here to learn, they's see that more and more consumers are becoming educated about their rights, and the threats, and "pay yor bills" don't work anymore. Also, in the age of internet, with a quick google, a consumer can find out whether a certain collector is a law breaker or not.

I agree, though we sometimes disagree, FYI is a real asset to these forums.

I echo that--FYI is certainly a wealth of information!! And sadly, there are some collectors who should've been loan sharks and have the same morals. The best way we can fight them is to educate ourselves and learn our rights.

I think FYI has been a huge blessing to many on this forum. I have seen her attacked many times for being a collector, but I have to say, she has always acted as the bigger person and responded in a civil manner. One can only HOPE to deal with decent collectors like FYI...not some of the ones we normally deal with. If all collectors were like her, we probably wouldn't even be on this forum!

I tend to take a realistic approach with a collector. If everyone paid their bills on time they would be unemployed and if all creditors would follow the law,our forum would have no reason to exist. A collector that can follow the law and also explain why you are in collections and what you need to do to get yourself out of collections is a true rarity these days. I have dealt with both good and bad collectors in the distant past and the one who was paid in full was the collector who was professional enough to do their job.No one likes being in collections and the law breakers make it hard for anyone to even want to deal with the rest of the collectors.

First of all I want to thank everyone for their support and having me on these forums. I could have easily been run off when I first came here but I wasn't.

May it's the way I was brought up or maybe it is the way I felt when I was in debt but I feel that everyone should treat people the way they want to be treated.

I don't respond to guest postings when I feel their intent is to start trouble. I used to admin a huge gaming forum and let's just say those lessons I learned there over a 5 year period I put to good use here. When I feel a member have a problem with me because of my employment I first try to work it out and if they aren't willing then I ignore them. No sense in creating more drama on a forum that really isn't designed for it. This place is to help others, not create more stress.

I've said it before and it is worth repeating. I wish that there had been a place like this when I was desperately in need.

It's too bad you weren't run off FYI I'll never trust you and the people here are fools for having you.

Maybe the "guest" would like to rell us who they are and why they have it aagainst FYI? Thanks Fyi- for taking the higher road and being helpfull and mature!!

BTW- whoever psoted on my page about paying my bills,etc-get a life- I am out of debt..karen

Dear Guest, I really think you should keep your mean comments to yourself. FYI has been very helpful in this forum, at least with me she has given me very fair answers to my questions. There is really no need for you to make those negative remarks. Just because she is a collector does not mean she is not a fair person. Anyways what is the purpose of you login into this forum, when this forum is to help eachothers with debt problems?

Perhaps guest should quit hiding and register so he can swipe at members and moderators. You will learn quickly this site does not tolerate this garbage your spewing.FYI I am sorry you have to put up with this garbage just because of your job. Some people never learn it is people that make a difference not a job catagory!!

Good Jesus, these "guests" that stop by here to post this bull $h*t need to grow up and get a life. Seriously, what do you possibly have to gain from coming here talking $h*t? If your going to start something don't be a coward about it, at least register so that you have something of a face to go along with, or do you need to hide behind your little anonymous guest account because your afraid? The only thing these "guests" can spew is pay your bills blah blah blah. Your a thief, felon, blah blah blah. Same old song and dance. Funny thing is besides helping people fight back when they've been wronged this is a forum for debt consolidation Care, which is designed to help people pay their bills. Duh! I'm done with these guests and from now on I won't respond to them and neither should anyone else cause quite frankly I could care less about what you have to say. I'm getting my life straightened out, my bills are getting paid and fairly soon I will be debt free. Only people without a life would make it their purpose to attempt to cause hardship in the lives of others. That would be a complete looser. Now get a life and GTFO

I can understand why no one here trusts opinions of debt collectors no matter how honorable their said intentions may be--simple question--if they are debt collector why are they here to help anyone but themselves ? and if people here defend? maybe these people are working for debt consolidation to pay same collectors they contracted with? just wondering why they get defended when people here challenge? maybe I am wrong and apologize if so :cry:

Hanky's alias are a different breed than the pay your bills guest.Pay your bills is upfront on his/her attacks.

Just so that we are all clear, this is not guest by design...this is a random guest.

GBD seeks to help people realize there is an alternative way to doing their finances...not at calling people deadbeats or making them feel worse. So wherever this post is, I didn't start it or contribute to it.

I didn't say I was not GBD, I said I wasn't the one who apparently was castigating people for not paying their bills. I was just clarifying that the latest round of bashing didn't originate with me, nor did I participate in it.
