Hi margaret, can you get a loan through your bank or another source and basically consolidate them yourself? If you can get a loan to pay all of your debts off and be left with only the loan payment, then you won't hurt your credit. But that's the only way I know of.

Hi Margaret, this really depends on your current credit score and your situation. i went through credit counseling and it didn't do that bad of a deal on my score, of course my credit was down the toilet in the first place because I was late several days paying most of my creditors.
