Well after being persistent with CashNetUsa about demanding a physical address from them before I would send in any payments to them, yesterday I recieved and email from them stating since I have constantly demanded a physical address they gave me an address......finally!!!

Now here's my question........The address that they gave me is a P.O box address. How can I send a money order and know if they get it or not? I do not trust these people at all, and I feel that they would get the money order, and then say they didn't. I know with a P.O. box address you can't send it certified.

Here's another question......I sent a certified letter to them at another address and I know that they got it because I got the reciept back proving they got it. Do you think I could use that address instead of the P.O box address?

What did you do to get an address I sent two emails early last week requesting payment plan and physical address, I let them know my bank account was closed and they still obviously tried to debit my account because I received an email thanking me for my payment. Which I know they will not get. I will now be in collections with them but I tried to prevent that by corresponding with them early in the week requesting an address. Please let me know how you handle your situation with them. I know they are legal and I do not want to mess things up with them.

Yeah, you can. They just put the slip in the box and when the boxholder picks up the mail they see the slip and go sign for the mail. I have a PO box, and have recieved certified letters.

One thing I'm confused about. Cash Net USA's address is on their website.

Address
CashNetUSA
P.O. Box 06230
Chicago, IL 60606

It's also on the BBB . . . .

All I did was I was very persistent and would not budge, and they finally gave me a physical address.

Ok butting in here, since when can you not send certified mail to a PO box?

My mistake, I did not think you could send a certified letter to a P.O box

I am also in Collections with CashNet USA. I told them that I am unable to pay the rest of the loan. I have already paid $1100 and change on an $800 loan and they say I owe them $1000. I am in Florida. They also called one of the references I put on my original application. What can I do to stop them?

What is a CSO? Isn't there a law in Florida on interest charges?

There is a law in Florida about interest charges. A CSO is a Credit Service Organization. Federal law says that any fees charged by a CSO cannot be considered as interest. So Cash Net USA is charging you a fee of $25 per $100 borrowed, and 18% interest. That $25 in fees per $100 cannot be considered interest. So legally speaking, they are within the laws of Florida by charging you 18% interest.

ok - so the original loan amount was $800 - for the next 6 pay periods they charged me $220 payments. I stopped the last payment and told them I had financial difficulties and could only pay $50 per pay period with no more interest they would not take it.

Also - they are contacting the references from my loan application, is that legal?

I have not been able to get a physical address from them, to send a money order to them, however, they have been pretty easy to work with for me so far. They finally answered my emails. I had a payment plan lined out to repay them however it was in 4 payments and according to the laws of my state, it must be repaid in 3 payments of 1/3 each(at least that is what they have stated) and they actually moved my first payment date to 12/21. I am still not sure how I am going to pay them. I will definately not be using my new bank account to pay them out of. I really don't want to spend the extra cash using western union or money gram. I remember reading somewhere here about someone's idea of purchasing a Visa Gift card at their bank that you can add the exact amount to and give that number to the PDL company, that way they don't have any access to your personal information. Of course while all of the email corresponding was going on, I had two phone calls and messages from someone else there telling me to call them back! We will see what happens, this is the only legal PDL I have and I want to make sure I follow all the correct steps in handling the repayment process.

pepsi, up to you, my friend! If they want "more" money, they'll take you up on the $50 money order deal. I personally don't like money gram/western union. You don't know where the money is REALLY going! Send them an email (or however you made your payment arrangment) and TELL them you will send a money order for $50 to (and put the address). See what kind of response you get. :D
