I have 4 payday loans right now. I am closing my bank account and reopening another since I have also had some unauthorized activity in my account. Is there a debt consolidation service which will work with payday loans? I live in Wisconsin.

Taz, were your pdls storefront or internet? Which companies were they. You may be able to handle this yourself. There is Town and Country, and Langhorn which are companies that deal with pdl consolidation. These are the two most common mentioned on this site. I have not dealt with either. If you want to research what other members have said, you can type either company in the search box in the top right corner of the page. All the threads that mention the company will be listed. If you want to see about dealing with them yourself, please list the above information, as well as the amount you borrowed from each and the total you have paid back to each.

They are all online:

cashnetusa $750
fastwirecash $300
vcfunding $300
nationalcashlenders $300

Plus any fees.

How do I check if they are even legal in Wisconsin, take care of them without getting more fees, etc.?

You will find the Payday loan laws for Wisconsin here (just select your state),
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html

These are the laws for your state. Have you paid anything on these loans. If yes please tell us how much. One total paid for each lender. Add fees and principle paid to get the total for each.

All fees are $90, except NCL is $187.50. I have not paid anything on these yet. Since I am closing my bank account before Friday, their pull for fees will all be bounced back.

I will pm you a letter, but you need to take care of your account before you send anyone anything. Yiur account is the most important

Thanks. I am waiting for one check to clear (hopefully it will post tomorrow) and I plan to close my account Thursday, before anything would hit on Friday. I have printed out the message about closing the account to take with me.

So, once it is closed, then I should send the letter to all 4? If some are not legal, what do I do about those?

Thanks for walking me through this. It's the last black cloud hanging over me right now.

I believe goudah saying (I think!) that FastWire is licensed SOMEWHERE. I'm not absolutley positive, but that's the only place I've heard of this place.

I'm not showing these guys as licensed in your state.

fastwirecash
vcfunding
nationalcashlenders

However, CashNetUSA will be. They are licensed all over.

OK, so could someone provide me with the letter to send to the 3 which are not licensed in Wisconsin?

Now, for the other, if I call them, how willing are they to settle? Does anyone have experience with them? Will they let me pay it off, will they dump fees on top of it?

Thanks for all of the help so far.

Thank you. I won't send anything until next week.

Any words of wisdom for when I call the last one (also next week)?
