I recently paid off a loan that had defaulted a while back. It was through 500 Fast cash. When I had called their number (888-919-6669) they transfered me to another number, which after several calls back, I found out the number was (800-430-2740). I was wondering if anyone could confirm it was somewhat legit, since they now have my other card information. I just needed it paid off for my job.

Also, I am currently trying to get confirmation that I paid it, is there any other way for me to get it, somewhat soon?

Oh Lord! Did you give 500FastCash your new bank account information? 500FastCash is an unlicensed/illegal company. If they have your new bank account information, they will be in seventh heaven! You need to immediately contact them again and get written confirmation that your loan is paid in full and marked closed. You need this IN WRITING from them. Also, the fact that they have your bank account information again is not good. You might want to do something regarding that bank account.

Chaosseeker, remember, you need them to give you something IN WRITING. Do not trust these guys.

I called them again today, and after being told I still had a balance, I called the number that I paid the loan on, which was apparently customer service. They again told me to send an email to the finalcollections(at)500fastcash.com, and that the other systems take a little bit to update because its the end of the month.

Oh crap! Stay on them, Chaosseeker. Keep at them every single day until you get your paid in full from them. And also make sure they state that the account is CLOSED. Lord. This is just crap to me. It should show as PIF now.

Great! So she did tell you it's paid in full. At least that's something! Now, just to get it in writing! Please remember to ask them to also put on there that besides being paid in full, to also put that the account is closed and no further attempts will be made to contact you or collect on it.

chao, they are friggin nuts! When they want money, they want it right that very second or you're going to "be hung" or something! Now they're telling you that you won't get a paid in full receipt for 14 friggin days? Hell no. They know it is paid. They should have record of it being paid. They can send you something showing it's paid in full and closed. This is uncalled for. Like it takes 14 days for your payment to show up? BS.
