Hello,
I have been sued for credit card debt. I had went broke in 2003. I made my last payment in january 2003.
The statue of limitations quotes that they have three years to sue me in arizona. I was served in july 2007.
The credit card is discover. I was served in july, for 10,000, now the debt is 15,000 with interest.
Can you help me? I am still broke & struggling.
I have now been served another lawsuit from the same attorney for benificial for 1,600. They have enter3d the default on discover.The other lawsuit is from midland credit. i tried to settle with them, for the small account. They had sent me a offer of 750.00 every two weeks for a month. I called them & offered them 500.00 every two weeks for month. They refused my offer. I had told them I could not afford the other offer.

they served you 1 1/2 years to late. Hopefully you did not acknowledge the debt which would reset the SOL.
Did you ever go to court or did you ever get a court date? If not, more than likely they did not actually file a suit.
Send the collection company a Letter of Validation, stating that the debt is almost 2 years out of SOL.
