I stopped my ACH and I am closing my account. I notified them that their rights are revoked.

I also changed my direct deposit. I didnt have enough time to change it for this pay period so I have it going in on Friday.

Will the companies go WHAMMO and take all my money? Especially now that they know their rights are revoked? Can my bank refund this if its unauthorized.

I am freaked out that my other NORMAL bills wont get paid becuase of these people.

Anyone know what happens next?

Yep. You never revoke their authorization to debt until your account is closed. They will go in and take it all. It is up to your bank if they will give back your money. Some banks will force open closed accounts to allow ach to go thru. You need to be sure your bank will not do that. There is a sticky on the top of the pay day loan forum that nees to be read before you close your account. In some states criminal action may take place. What state are you in?

Talk to your bank first and ask them to block all debits. The minute your direct deposit hits, withdraw it and move it to your new account. If it does get through talk to the bank immediately and let them know it was unauthorized so they will refund it. If your new account is at the same bank, make sure your bank knows that you are dealing with unauthorized, fraudulent debits, so they won't link the new account to the old one. Banks seem to have different policies on this, but mine (Wells Fargo) was pretty cooperative.

Did you overpay on any of these loans? I had an SJM loan that I overpaid by a lot, but once I emailed and told them to stop, they did and marked it PIF.

My new bank is actually a savings acct at another bank. I dont think they will find it. Its my OLD acct that still hsa my maiden name on it. I might leave it that way so they dont find it.

I think my HR person at work thinks I am nuts becuase I am sort of freaking out about this stuff.

I didnt overpay, I am stopping it before I do though.

I thought it was a one time withdraw..

I am really freaking out..

Hopefully my bank will understand that these were unauthorized and return them. I will see them try to pull on my online acct and call right away
