Have you paid them anything yet. If not you have a moral obligation to pay back what you borrowed plus what ever interest is allowable in your state. They will probably harrass you to pay and eventually turn you over to a collection agency if you do not pay them. I will post the laws of your state if someone doesn't do it first.

As I thought, they are prohibited in your state. This does not mean you do not have to pay them back. It is wrong to keep money that is not yours, not that you were planning to. I would not know that!

I will pay them when i get the money, as you said i have a moral obligation, but i think they copied my bank stuff...causae when i went to it, it had a page come up that I did not read until after i put my information in, and it said not to put your information in as they could not verify the web address....so therefore, i am going to close my account

I have had good dealings with MESA. They do not seem out to get you. They are great for a short term loan. I would use them again if needed. Doug was great to deal with!

Mesa
I took a payday loan out with Mesa Financial few weeks ago- the loan was for $300.00- the repayment is $390.00...I thought in WA state that by law they couldnt exceed $15% of $100-500? Either way I am going to pay the loan off the first time its due- this is way too high...

I took out a loan with Mesa financial over a year ago (for $200) or so. I could only pay the interest (which was $60) or so. Online payday loans are illegal in Nebraska (I believe). I paid at least $700 in interest (I think it was closer to $1000). I then talked to a representative who said we could consider it closed. A few months later, I was in a horrible financial situation and needed to take another loan. I took a $250 loan out. I paid $75 in interest once or twice. I then revoked my ACH authorization and had left a message for one of the reps about closing it out as well, since I had overpaid by SO MUCH from the previous loan. They didn't withdrawal anymore money (nor did they contact me again). I considered this matter closed (way back in May of 2010). However, I recently have received calls from an "ADR" firm. They have left several threatening messages (American accents, however). When I called them back at 877-791-2102 they said they have a case against me (yada yada) through Mesa Financial and that I was going to be charged with intent to defraud as well as writing a bad check. It sounds like a total scam since I was never approached by Mesa themself. I asked for validation of the debt, they gave me some run around answer. Then I said I don't owe any money (for the reasons above). They said "good luck in court" and hung up on me. Is there anything legitimate about it?

Hardly. I would send this ADR a debt validation letter. If they fail to provide you with proper validation (which they won't be able to do since it was an illegal loan), send them a cease and desist letter. There is no way they can win any kind of suit against you for an ILLEGAL loan.
Nervous?
I took out an online payday loan with Mesa in late 2009 (not 100% sure of the date). The loan was for $250. The interest that was paid was $60 every two weeks. I paid well over $700 (I believe it was closer to $1000 ??? but, I do not have all of my bank statements in front of me right now). I called one of the representatives at Mesa in March or April of 2010 and asked if we could come to an arrangement. They agreed to close the PDL account. A few months later, I was in a desperate financial situation. I borrowed $250 (with the interest only payment being $75). I paid the $75 once or twice (again, sorry for the lack of exactness). At that time, I contacted Mesa and revoked my ACH (as I didn???t have any money left in my bank account). I was unable to reach a rep, so I left a message asking to consider the loan paid in full due to my extreme overpayment of the previous loan. I believe online payday loans are illegal in Nebraska. Mesa never tried to withdrawal any more money and they never contacted me at all (they also had my current address ??? more on that in a second). I considered the matter closed since I never heard anything more (and in all, I way overpaid both loans by at LEAST $300).
I have since received several calls from a company claiming to be ???ADR???. They have left a few somewhat threatening messages on my phone. They have also gotten a hold of numbers of family and friends that were never on the original loan application (and left THEM threatening messages). I called them back (probably a dumb move, I know). They said they had a file w/ my SSN (yada, yada), and that I was being pursued for intent to defraud, writing bad checks (even though I never actually wrote a check?) and something else. I denied that I owed any more. The address they had for me was SEVERAL years old (and I have since moved several times). The company???s name was called ???consolidated??? (in and of itself that sounds fishy). The calls came through as unknown numbers. I can???t be SURE they were all from them, but I have received no fewer than 10 calls per day. They tell me to call back 877-791-2102. When I called the number back, the man (with an American accent) was very argumentative/rude (not that I expected anything less). I said I did not owe any money and he said ???good luck in court??? and hung up. Their first message indicated they wanted my employer???s address (yeah right!) and my current address. Has this happened to anybody else? I don???t believe I have anything to worry about, but the nervous/panicky side of my brain is freaking out. If ANYTHING, I feel I would only owe the ???difference??? on the second loan ($250-$75 = $175 (or $100 if I actually paid two loan payments of $75) (since I???m moral obligated to pay back the principle, but I have done that plus some) That hardly seems worth taking someone to court (especially since mesa financial never contacted me themselves). I know this was a long entry. Anbody have any thoughts?

I respondedto your original post above.
And, if you overpaid that first loan by as much as you said, then you're more than square. They can apply that to the 2nd loan and call it even. These people are full of it. Don't let them scare you. They'll make all kinds of threats that they can't follow through on.
