I filed a complaint with the BBB against MTe financial yesterday and I was wondering what happens now after that is done. They are the ones that I overpaid by $200.00. I refuse to pay them anymore money. They should pay me a refund.

The BBB will send them the complaint. Then wait for MTE to respond to the complaint. The BBB will send you an email with a link that you can check to see the status of the complaint. It depends on what they respond to the BBB as your next step. Sometimes they will respond that the account is PIF and sometimes they don't. It is a waiting game.

Sometimes MTE will not even respond to the BBB. Have you also filed against MTE with the FTC and your state AG?

tlm, file with both the FTC and your state AG. To file with the FTC, you can just go to their website and file a complaint on line (www.ftc.gov). To file with your state attorney general, you may be able to file on line or you may have to print out the complaint forms, fill them out, and mail them in. It varies from state to state. To find my state AG site, I just googled "my state" attorney general. The site popped up. Then I went to Consumer Protection. Then it said File A Complaint. I'm in a state where I had to print out the form and mail it in. Your state might be able to do it on line. But you need to go ahead and file. They will send letters out on your behalf to the pdl. If you need help, just post! :D

I have two different loans that i have questions about. One is for Loan Shop and the other is Little Loan shop. I took the loan out for both of them Early October and closed my account before they could get any money because i could not pay these places and live anymore. What I am wondering is how do i pay them or should i pay them if they won't give me a mailing address. They are Westbury Ventures as well. I figure if they don't want to give me a mailing address they don't want their money to badly do they. Any suggestions.

tlm, these guys are illegal. They're lucky to get money at all. Send in whatever you can. Just include a letter stating you will only pay the principle amount, include a payment of whatever you can afford, and notate it on the letter. Then keep track of your "running balance". Each time you send a payment in, stick a copy of the letter with it & make sure you have deducted that payment also and reflect the remaining balance. And keep copies of it all! Just mail whatever you can. Of course you can't send it all at once! If we had that kind of money, we wouldn't have been looking for stupid pdls in the first place!
