So I have been in debt for a while now. I fell into it due to an ex-girlfriend running me over with a car and putting me in the hospital, after that I lost my job and it was a snow ball effect from there. I have been putting it off for a year now and am ready to stop running from these issues and start doing what I have to do. Here is a layout of my situation.

Creditor #1- Capital One- Was at around $800.00 when I lost my job and due to the late payments (if any) and all the different random charges its up to $1225.23. It went to collection and I was talking with the collection agency about a settlement on it. They kept changing the offers and I wanted a 12 month plan like they originally offered. Then we got them down to around 500 thats when I called to pay and they said they sent it to somewhere else. Just got a letter today from Kramer & Frank P.C. telling me that they currently have the issue with them and I have to pay. What does this mean do they settle for an amount or is it just pay the full amount.

Creditor #2- Commerce Bank Credit Card- Same issue with this, right now its at $2704.23, 6 month ago I paid 700 on this account and got a different job and couldn't keep making payments so this is where I am at with this. I'm sure its in the mail on its way to a collection agency.

Creditor #3- A collection agency (don't have the info off hand), for a Macy's cc, its at $491.00 now. They will settle for around 350.00.

I also have a car loan that I owe 5k on it, I never miss a car payment. Theres nothing I can do with this nor want to I have a low payment and great rate.

So this is pretty much the bulk of my issues, I would love any information that I can get on this. Please help me. Thanks.

I also want to add that I got a new job making 31k/year salaried, if that gives you a better look at my finances.
