ssm group payday loans are thieves!! they put money into my account and I didn't apply for a loan through them. I paid them hundreds of dollars and then put a stop to it. Now I just found out today that they put it on my credit report $480!

I did dispute it with the credit reporting agency. Unfortunately, the only thing they do is write the company a letter letting them know that their debt as been disputed and ask if it is a valid debt. The company wrote back and said yes. The women told me that is all they do on the consumers behalf. No documentation is required just a simple yes or no.

You have the CA VALIDATE the debt to you... if they can't then go back to the credit reporting agency and show them that they can't do that. I had this with SGQ/ NCA (agency). Also, check to see if that agency is licensed in your state. You can easily fight this one.

The contact number for SSM/OSL Marketing is
866-463-2130.

My advice is to pay down on your loan and your refinace charge will lower until you pay off!

I am getting daily calls from a 3rd party saying I owe this when they put the $300 in my account without my authority and they took out approximately $400 before I realize I should stop this. Now I am getting harashing calls saying because I didn't request the $300 to be returned that I'm responsible for it along with other charges. I disagree because I didn't sign or request the $300 they they are on the hook for their error. They got enough as far as I'm concerned. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

that is not correct. they have to be able to prove that it is a legit debt or the credit bureau has to remove it . I work for a bank and they have to be able to prove it in a court of law or remove that from your credit -- have them provide any proof that they may have and they won't be able to keep it there.

I filed a complaint through my states Attorneys General Office and the Kansas State Attorneys Office, since this company is in Shawnee Mission, KS, this is the statement I wrote. Also I put in a stop pay to my bank.

On 12/24/09 - Noticed a deposit was made to my checking account in the amount of $300.00 from SSM Group. I also noticed that this same company drafted out of my account $91.00 dollars, which I did not authorized. I had tried to contact them, however was not able to get a hold of them until 1/04/10. When I spoke to the representative, I asked what company this is and asked why was $300.00 deposited into my checking account. She stated that the company is a payday loan company. I stated that I has not applied for any payday loan, she stated that I had, I told her I had not, and how did this company get ahold of my bank account information, when asked she hung up. So I called back again, this time acting as though I was a customer. The representative told me that the company was able to get my information from a another company, where I had applied for a payday loan in which I had paid back and closed the account this was over a year ago. I said what company was this, she sign my loan. I stated to her regardless I didn't apply for this loan. I also asked when was suppose to have paid for this laon, she couldn't give me an answer. I stated okay, what is the policy was for paying this loan back, she stated that they will draft your account $91.00 twice a month and the next draft will be on January 19th, I said how can you do this, when I didn't authorize for this draft or the loan? still she couldn't explain. So I stated okay your company has already taken $91.00 and another schedule for January 19th, this will make the total $182.00 dollars, what is your processing fee, she stated the $91.00 dollars, so I asked does any of $91.00 goes toward the loan, she stated no, I would have to pay inconjunction with the $91.00 in at least $50 increment until the loan is paid off, and that I must call the company 3 days before the 19th to let them know to draft my account with a larger amount. I told her this is a rip-off. So your saying until this loan is paid off, $91.00 will be drafted from my account, that can exceeds hundres of dollars, she stated if it takes that long, I said this is highway robbery, and that I am not going to pay this, it is wrong, I asked to speak to a supervisory, she informed that a supervisory was not available. Everytime I tried to call to speak to a superisory one was never available. I also reviewed the following website: http//www.debtconsoldiationcare.com/paydayloan/ssm-group.html, and found many people in my same situation asking questions, such as: How did they get my account information, Has anybody had this same problem, etc. I don't want this affecting my credit report, one lady stated that she stopped paying and reported her to credit bureau. This company is a rip off, they find a way to get your bank information, which is fraud, make a deposit to your account, and force people to pay these unfair processing fees. I also contacted sign my loan and stated it is their policy never to give out customers account information or any information containing their customers, it is under their disclosure. So SSM-Group must be finding away to hack into people's accounts to make the deposits. Can you help? Because I refuse to pay this back.
Very Sincere

I'm sorry to tell you this but now that they have your personal account information it will never be safe again. Even if you have your bank block them, they will only change their name and debit your account again, out of the blue! Payday lenders share information, especially Internet lenders, so once you get one loan on the Internet you can be assured that many other lenders have your personal account information, if I were you, I would file a complaint with the FTC, BBB and your AG, tell your bank to return the money, then close that account!

If you call 1-866-463-2130 you will get an answer and talk to someone but it is not the company that is listed they are an affiliation of the ssm group and they are scam artist they put money into your account without your permission and then say that you owe money to them. Do not give them any information because they get it and set up an account for you to get more money from you.

They are a major scam artist I found out get an attorney because there is no talking to these people personally they like to accuse people of taking loans out with them even if they didnt.

This happened to me today and I'm really pissed off about it. I can't get in touch with anybody. I'm going to my bank tomorrow and close out the account. Does anyone have an address for this company. I'm going to overnight a money order to them with proof it was returned. I'm not paying any fees and I don't trust them to debit my account. I already disputed this with my bank this morning. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!

you need to pay back the whole 300. You need to call them to do this. The amount being taken out of your account every week is only a finance charge, not the loan repayment. You need to set up a repayment of the actual amount. I was hit for $720 in finance fees until i called and found this out!

I am currently experiencing the same with this company - unauthorized deposit, debiting an amount greater than the loan and interest combined, can't get ahold of an actual person, etc.

Here is what I found out:
1) An initial search for contact info for this company gave me the phone number (866) 516-3100. When you call that it lists the names of several companies and the phone numbers to call, for each company.

2) The phone number listed from that answering service is (866) 463-2130. This sends you to a company called OSL Marketing. Their hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm central standard time. Good luck getting into contact with an actual person, so far I've only gotten voicemail for some lady named Stephanie.

3) The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has the above number listed for SSM Group LLC, as well as a P.O. Box address located in Mission, Kansas. This won't be much help, as that's not a physical address.

4) In a search of OSL Marketing on the BBB's website, I've come up with two additional numbers, which I will try on Monday. They are:
(816) 822-8677
(866) 533-5788
And a physical address (surprise!) of:
2 E. Gregory Blvd.
Kansas City, MO 64114

I have filed a complaint for SSM Group LLC, but none yet for OSL Marketing - as I have yet to speak to someone, so I'm not 100% sure that they're the same (or affiliated) company.

If it means anything, SSM Group has a D-, and OSL Marketing has a F on BBB's website - neither are BBB accredited companies (obviously).

Hope this info helps you all!

Additional information!

I Googled the first phone number which linked me to this Merchant Circle page.

The phone number (hurrah!) does actually belong to OSL Marketing. The address on that page is as follows:

11 Gregory Blvd Apt E
Kansas City, MO 64114

A Google Maps search of the first address also associates the first address with OSL Marketing, but also another company called KC Mortage Group.

A Google Maps search of the second address corrects it to be this address:

11 E Gregory Blvd,
Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri 64113

and also this address

11 E Gregory Blvd
Kansas City, MO 64113

Both of which are associated with OSL Marketing Inc./Shabazz Londa Atty/Kansas City Federation-Mscns.

I will report back, should I find anything else.

Additional Information: Round 2

A Google search for the second (866) number leads to OSL Marketing and another loan company called DJR Group.

The first link in the search shows that DJR Group apparently has the same practices as SSM Group LLC/OSL Marketing.

The DJR Group BBB page interestingly lists an address located in (none other than) Mission, Kansas. The address listed is:

5700 Broadmoor St
Mission, KS 66202

This company, like OSL Marketing, has a F and is not a BBB accredited company. A Google Maps search for that address brings up the names of like ten (10) companies, but I don't see DJR Group LLC in there anywhere.

So there you have it, folks. Everything that I could find about SSM Group LLC/OSL Marketing Inc. at your fingertips.

Hopefully this helps, and if we call enough, and complain enough, and continue to file reports with the BBB and our state Attorney General offices, these companies (this company?) will be forced to change its fradulent business practices. Either that, or they will give it up and close up shop.

Either way - be proactive! Don't let them do with you what they will, continue to fight them!

Additional Information: Round 3

I just got off the phone with the (816) number. Apparently multiple companies share the (866) 463/2130/(816) 822-8677 number. The lady I spoke with was with CMG Group, but was able to access SSM Group's internal database and pulled up my information.

How SSM Group works is they loan you x-amount of dollars that comes with a finance charge (fee) of y-amount of dollars. If you don't call them within 3 days of the scheduled withdraw date to say that you want to pay off x-amount, you will be stuck paying y-amount indefinitely (as was explained to me).

Since this lady didn't work for SSM Group, she couldn't tell me how they go about getting your info to deposit these funds into accounts. She did, however, say that they don't have a website, and they do loans strictly over the phone or online (through other websites, I'm guessing).

That's all the more information that I have about this company. Also, there has been no further word on my case with BBB that I filed against them. Hopefully, it'll get resolved.

Has anyone had better luck/different info?

The same thing happened to me I never applied for this payday loan and don't who they are. They never reveal their company. One thing you know your in the collection agency. To be honest, I am an honest person. I even call them trying to return their money, I gave my name and phone number to let them know I did not want their money, but no response, and two weeks later they took $90.00 off my account. I told my bank I never authorized this company to withraw in my account. I told my Bank I called them and left messages but they never return my call, I said, if this company is legitimate they will response, that they want to know who's sending them money.

They deposited $250.00 in my account and I didn't apply for a loan. I put a block on them with my account so they can't take anything out nor put anything else in.
Call your bank and either put a block on them with your account or close that account and open another.
