I check my report every single month. I noticed there is a TMobile account that says they sent to collections to a company called Superior Management. However, I have not been given any proof of debt owed that I have asked TMobile to send me. Nor have I had any success in trying to contact Superior. So, I disupted the account with Experian. Experian sent me a letter telling me they confirmed the debt with Superior and that the debt stays on my report.
So, how is it that Experian can confirm this debt with Superior but I get a busy signal or I get hung up on when I call Superior? The amount is $$106. For goodness sakes..I would pay it if I knew what it was for and if I could get in touch with the credit collections agency (Superior).
Any advice?

I am kind of obssessed with getting my credit in order. There just seems to be so many road blocks sometimes. I know it takes time...hours of calling and writing per week believe me I really appreciate this feedback.

I checked my credit report in June only to find a T-Mobile account in collections with Superior Assest Management. My wife called T-Mobile because we have never even had service with them. They told her that the account was opened 3 years ago in Colorado under the first name Rhett (not Brett as mine is). It was turned over to collections for lack of payment. Well, I have never even been to Colorado and I have never gone by the name Rhett. The lady gave us a number for S.A.M. and we have had the runaround ever since. I have never received any bill, collection statement, phone call or otherwise from T-Mobile or Superior Asset Mgmt and would not have known that this account even existed had I not checked my credit report. I have contacted Superior Asset Management on many seperate occasions. They have been rude and unhelpful. I have had different people tell me different things that I need to do to get this cleared up. I sent them a letter and a copy of my drivers liscense as I was told by them to do to get this off of my credit. When I called to follow up a very rude man told me I was given incorrect information and that the woman who gave me the information no longer works for them. This is so stressful and ridiculous...I just now came from my local police station to fill out an identity theft report. This is just so crazy - is this company even ligit??

Hi, Brett
I had the same issues. I finally called T-mobile and although it took about 2 hours of my life I cannot get back I think I straightened out the issues with Superior Asset Management. I'm waiting to see if the collection status comes off my credit report in October. T-Mobile was forced to be helpful and it seemed to work. It may be worth another try.

Brett

Talk with your creditors about this situation and get the item removed from your credit file. If wrong information posted on your credit report is not removed, it causes defamation or financial injury.

If things don't improve, you can consult your lawyer and recover the extent of damages from the wronged party viewed by the court.

Mark, have you contacted both the collection agencies and asked for the information about the debt that is appearing in your credit report?

You need to send them a letter about debt validation which will help you to know about the accounts sold by your creditors. If they are unable to validate the debt, then you can get the debt removed from your credit report as per the fdcpa law. You need to document everything so have every proof of your correspondence made with them. Send your letter through certified mail with return receipt requested.

I'm checking my credit report monthly and noticed this month that there are a number of inquiries from car dealers that I never applied for a line of credit. I mean there are about 10+. That brings down my score and doesn't go away but when I try to dispute the info there isn't a place to dispute inquiries.
Any suggestions???

During the past, you might have been looking for some credit and as a result precisely authorized them to check your credit. Since the credit scorers have found multiple inquiries in your name, your credit scores have been reduced due to the high risk of default.

It might also have happened that you were shopping for a better deal with some companies. Credit scorers usually ignore inquiries between a period of 14 days and combine all of them into one single inquiry.

You might have done this shopping some time back and that is the reason, it has lowered your credit score.

Contact your creditors mentioned in your report and verify if they have put inquiries in your name. If you find any information disputed, contact the bureau reporting it as clerical mistake is always possible.

I live in Snellville, GA and I am in collections with SAM AND Valentine and Associates. I have NEVER had voicestream. I have been trying to clear this up since Feburary. I see the trend. Gainesville, GA is not that far away from me. I can not waste anymore money waiting for them to straighten out my C.R. My car just broke down. I have mailed several certified letters to them, only to have them returned. Please help. The 3 C.B will not remove the items!

Sarah,

A debt consultant might be helpful in doing the tactful negotiation with the company. Since you have been trying to clear your credit file since February and the credit bureaus are not willing to remove the negative information, you can take a free counseling of the expert. I hope he will be able to repair your file. You can register yourself free of cost in this website.

I received a letter from Superior Asset Management Inc. They are requesting that i pay an outstanding bill for the amount of $577.40 on a bill owed to T-Mobile. I have never owned a cell phone and have never done any business from T-Mobile. The same problem came up about 6 months ago and i thought it had been resolved. The account information is:
T-Mobile account # xxxxxxxxx
Collection agency account # xxxxxxxx
Requesting any assistance you may be able to help me with.

Account number deleted for your safety-Mike

Do you retain any copy of communication took place 6 months ago. You can show this as evidence and ask them to stop contacting you for this particular account.

You can also contact Consumer Protection Agency of your area for some help.

From 1999 to 2005 Bill Collectors and clerical staff at V&K have been stealing money and leased equipment from people all over the country. The scam was pretty simple. A collector would call the debtor explain that X amount of money was owed. This amount represented the actual bill (principle) and collection charges usually %20. The collector would tell the debtor to pay the principle to V&K and send the collection charges to the phoney agency, Muffucci Collections. V&K would report to the client that the principle was paid in full and the account was "settled in full". The collection charges went right into Ellen Muffucci bank account. The issue is that the account was "paid in full" and the debtor didnt get credit for paying the balance. The debtors credit report would list the account as "Settlement accepted on account" when actually the balanced was paid. If collateral was involved the principle was still paid, client was told account was settled in full and also that the equipment was bought. The debtor was told the account was settled but the equipment had to be sent to Muffucci collection. LOTS OF DELL COMPUTERS WERE STOLEN THIS WAY.

They were caught by a client. Ellen Muffucci, the ring leader, was dismissed. No charges were ever filed. NO WAY ELLEN was the only one involved. Fact is someone from the clerical department had to answer a phone call or two. It went on for 7 YEARS !!!

Wanna be a concerned citizen. Contact your congressman. Request an inquiry. All they have to do is review Ellen Muffucci bank records and they will see the depth of this larceny.
