Where do you find "example letters"

There is a do it yourself section up above here at the top of the page, right below the tab that says ranking chart , but many of us have created our own letters and we have some letters that have been passed around here too.

What kind of a letter are you needing? We can sure help!

I am looking for letters for revocation of wage assignments, cease and dissist letter, anything to do with confronting them on being illegal and only agreeing to pay the principal amount. I don't really know where to start other than the obvious from this forum. Closing my account! I have attempted contacting the pdl's by phone (hmmmmm no working phone numbers) anyway, just need a little help on getting started. Thanks

I am from Wisconsin and have rcv'd the laws. From what I have read WI does not have much regulation on PDL's. The one question I have is how do you find out if a certain internet PDL is legal in your state. I did rcv contact info. for the DFI in WI, is that who I should contact to find out the legality? I know for sure CashTransfer Centers is not legal anywhere in the US.

They need to be licensed by the DFI so you are on the right track in your search....thats exactly where to look. And yes, CTC is illegal in the US. With CTC, be sure and let your HR dept know and if you can, give them a copy of the letter you send them in case CTC tries to pull the wage assignment.

Where can I get a list of the laws in WI... I just got a letter from my payroll department and they are considering honoring a wage assingment demand from IL is that legal?

Have you consider doing Chapeter 128? I am from WI and that is what I am doing. It is consoldiation of your unsecure debts. You do not have to put all your unsecure debts in this program. You can pick and choose the ones you want. It stops all interest of the debt. You can include payday loans and personal loans and credit cards. It is a great option if you have all three and are trying to get out of debt. I believe the payment is something like $300 for a $10,000 of debt and that include trustee and lawyer's fee.
