I'm sorry, I don't know! I was near 90 days past due when I got into my dmp plan and they still had the account.
Have you called Chase & asked where they send it? They might be able to tell you. If not, I think it might be on your credit report (not sure about that one though...)

I think they're all required by law to charge off at 180 days. I read that somewhere, but I've been doing so much reading lately I can't remember where I saw it.

I have a Chase card as well, it's due to be charged off and sent into collections as of 12/31- my last payment was the beginning of June, so about 200 days for me. So I should know in Jan

When I talked to a rep at Chase when I was setting up my dmp, the rep did tell me that after 90 days they close the account (doesn't mean that you still won't accrue other fees) then at 180 they charge off. I don't know how true that is because it seems that you might get a different answer depending on who you get....

I have a chase card that went to collections. First it was with Valentin and Kebartis. Know it is with National Action Financial Services. I am working on setting up a payment plan right now, I just don't want to give them My bank account info.

I have been back and fourth with what I should do with my debt load. I was researching my options but while doing so-did not want to be late on any cards. I called Chase and they would not lower my APR-offer a hardship program-NADA. The rep told me basically nobody will speak to me until I am past due and by then I will also get a late fee...(how nice). So been a loyal customer for years-never late-paid more than the minimum and now that I have called them and told them I need a little help they treat me like damaged goods. Lovely! I tried to save my credit and not have lates, etc but I guess this is gonna be one bank that loves to "kick 'em when they are down".
I made my decision-debt settlement is the way to go for me with my massive debt load. I am so glad I found this forum. I can't say it is nice reading other people have had trouble with Chase but I am glad I am not alone in this.

Please be cautious with debt settlement. There are a lot of settlement companies that are scams. Also, when the creditor finally charges off the debt and it's sent to a collector, the settlement company cannot prevent you from being sued.
Make sure you thoroughly check out any company you are considering using before you sign anything.

Thanks Tiffany. I have been on here and other sites and reading books, articles and blogs trying to figure out what I could do to get out of my situation. So far debt settlement looks like my best option. I have found only one company that I would consider but I may end up doing it on my own.
Unfortunately, I have made a lot of wrong decisions in my life and I have learned from them. I am very cautious now when making decisions expecially when it comes to something like this. I am just glad I found a forum that I can meet people who are in a situation like me. We can all learn from eachother. :)

I got stung with debt settlement, which was the path that led me into ruining my credit and being sued. In the end, I was able to successfully settle two of my debts with no problems. It can be done and is not as difficult as settlement companies lead you to believe.

Some cards charge off at 120, others 180 and some at 210. They all vary. You will still get fee's until they actual charge off. It could be interest and late fee's including over the limit fee's. After charge off you are subject to be charged an interest rate in accordance to your state laws.
