I have a question for anybody. Has anyone closed their bank accts, and then not pd another dime to these loan shark pd places? If so, what did they do to you? Help?

From reading on the forum most people close their accounts but arrange to pay the principle back IF the compies are illegal.
I think more information on your individual situation is needed before a clear answer can be given. What state do you live in? and who do you have your pdls with? store fronts or internets?
If you can provide more information, people in this forum can help you deal with the companies and give advise about what legal actions can be taken.

I paid all mine back which were illegal in my state. I did borrow the money and I did use it. Most of us pay it back however, it is your decision and you are the one who has to live with the decision. If they are legal, you must pay them back or face the consequences. If you are in a situation where you must choose to either pay the pdl or keep a roof over your head...the lights, heat, food, gas and rent come first. The pdls, you do what you can when you can.

In the State of Ohio, they cannot "renew" loans and thats' what they are doing, they cannot do that, they just keep taking and taking, so I closed the acct. Now they can pound salt, because I can prove how much Ive paid back. Also, they can only charge in Ohio that is 10.00 per every 100 and they charged way more than that.

Same here. I think store fronts can charge $15.00 per $100.00.

So, basically what you are saying is that you have overpaid all your loans, correct? So, your question is actually, have we not paid MORE to them? Is that what you're asking?

Trish, I went back through your posts, I can not find where you actually listed who your loans are with, how much you borrowed from each and the total of how much you have paid to each. I did see where you listed you are from Ohio. We really would like to help you. I see you are getting bits and pieces of information and I am concerned about all your bases being covered. Would you post that information and fill us in on what you have done so far.
