According to a TransUnion credtit report the item was to be removed in 2006.
The services were preformed in 2000, but never completed.
Last year I disputed and had it removed from my TranUnion credit report as being over age.
I am now receiving calls again.
They say that it was updated in 2006 again and that this debt is going to ding my credit again until 2013.
The only way they could do that is by reinserting it by altering
The only way they could do that is by reinserting it by altering the chargeoff date. Which is a major violation of the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) if they do so, sue them.

Thank you. That is what we thought. Originally it was supposed to be paid by an ex spouse. Since it wasnt and was so close to expiration we just decided to let it expire rather than create more problems.
It has been over 2 years since we heard anything about it. Last year in running a credit report we noticed it and had it removed on that date.
We were quite shocked to have them call us again. Their statement that it was updated in 2006 and was going to remain on our credit for another 7 years shocked us.
In running a credit reports we found nothing in regards to this debt on any 3 of the credit agencies.
