I love all the little decorations on our site!!! Adorable....what is your favorite, must have decoration for you family???

I have a separate little tree that I decorate with all the little things my kids made when they were in school...I use it as a centerpiece in my dining room.

LOVE the thread, morningstarr! A "happy" thread! I, too, love the little Christmas trees and wreaths on here! It looks pretty! Now we just need a Santa to go walking across the screen! I really just started putting up a tree last year. I really didn't decorate at all because it's just me. But my friend gave me a tree last year & I decided to put it up, so it's up again this year. I do have some "special" ornaments that I will keep forever. My father made dog bone ornaments with all our dogs names on them to hang on our trees. He started years ago. I still have them and I hang them on my tree. Some of the little doggies have crossed the Rainbow Bridge; however, their ornament hangs on the tree every Christmas.

There are a couple of things that are special that I put out. I have my moms and my grandmothers snowbirds for the christmas tree. They are these little porcline(sp??) white birds they are chubby and they look like they are sleeping on the branches of the christmas tree. Then you put one of the christmas lights inside (yellow looks best) and they glow. When I get my tree done I will take a pic. and post it. They are so cute. Then I have my moms angel that she put on top of her tree for years. And I have a Mr. & Mrs. Santa that someone made for my Grandmother. They are hard to explain, so I guess I will have to post a pic. of them also. My Grandmother had them since I can remember. Those things are very special because they give me great memories of the people I love so much and that are gone. So having them is like have my mom and grandmother with me at Christmas.

I like the little dog bone ornament idea-how sweet!! I also have ornaments from my mom, the kids when they were younger, and some bulbs that my moms 80 year old friend gave me that were her grandmothers- almost afreadi to hang them  Years ago, we had the tree set up and my youngest sat in front of it for a pic-and the stupid thing fell down-that went on for a couple of years until I finally made hubby tie it down

bossy, I'm cracking up picturing the tree falling on your poor child! morning, that's a great new tradition you started! But, watch out! You might soon be out of ornaments! My mother still has this goofy idiot ornament I made in 3rd grade and hangs it on their tree every year. Lord, I'm embarrassed by it!

we have been in our home for 2 years and this year will be the first time that we put up a tree. the first year, we moved in a week before christmas so we really did not have the energy to put one up and last year we were working long hours at work so we did not put one up but i wish we did, because my grandchildren end up spending christmas with us and santa had to put their toys on the floor beside a chair and this year i am going to buy a tree and decorate it. one of my granddaughters is living with us now and she gets so excited when she see the lights.

Yay, granny! Get a cute little tree and put lots of lights on it! Your granddaughter will be so thrilled! And, you'll like it too! Turn off all the lights and just have your pretty tree on! And Santa can have a tree to put his presents under! :D
