Court Date Set

I had a car repossesses several years ago (2001). Now I have a collection agency (attorney) chasing me for the money. I don't deny I owe the money, and I have made what I believe to be a reasonable repayment offer that is also comfortable for my budget. However, they have refused that offer and are asking me to pay almost three times what I offered per month and give them $4000 upfront before they'll even take that! I don't have $4000 to give them and I cannot afford the money payments they are proposing. Now they have sued me and we have a court date set for December 21st...what should I do? Attempt to make another arrangement? Do that directly with them or in front of the judge? I don't want my wages garnished or any liens placed on any bank accounts, and I am willing to pay, but how do I go about getting this resolved??? HELP!
I am in Indiana if that matters.

I believe when you get to court they will attempt to make paymen
I believe when you get to court they will attempt to make payments arrangements with you. If you can take bills with you and your income to prove this is the best you can do I would hope the arrangements will be to your benefit. I have heard this happens fro other people here who were taken to court over similar situations.
