Hi everyone,

I just got a vociemail from checksmart...They said they have a complaint against me. Don't what this means and they say if I don't call them in 24 hours will be sent to the state of AZ. Don't know what this means. I have 3 accounts with them...I've paid half of one them on a 432 balance. One store I owe 345, another $232 and another 405 bucks or so...I don't want to have to deal with their corp office. They are so intimidating.

Are u saying if they r not legal and r internet loans they can not attempt to collect?

I talked to MTE to try to settle or something and I have already paid 500 on a 300! They want to settle for an additional 275!! I said to her that I have already paid 500 on 300 and she said that is the way the loan works! She said I am bound to that because of my agreement on the docs!!

Well if Checksmart does have a civil complaint. The thing to do is try to pay them down as much as possible...also keep receipts. Remember no court has jurisdiction over a defendent until the defendent is served the compaint by a process server, court deputy. When I heard the threat, I know one thing, in AZ they can not charge me with any crime...

Bobbie, Not necessarily. We would needto know which companies you have loans with and what state you are in. We can help you work on this if you want to post that information.I woudl advise though that you start a thread with you as the author. That makes it easier for us and you to find you again. :D
