Hey everyone. In the community success story on the forum, I wrote how after sending a fax, e-mail and certified letter to Pay Day Yes, they have agreed to my terms of paying them back. They replied the day after my fax.

Now I'm trying to get back my finance charges I paid to pay off my loans from: United Cash Loans, ameriloan, and TJF and/or Bahamas Marketing group. I sent each company a fax, e-mail and certified letter yesterday (12-10-07). This morning at 6:35am Pacific Time I received a call and message to my voicemail from TFJ/BMG. I can't believe "Chuck" called me that early in the morning. Anyways, his voicemail said that I need to check my records because they have no record regarding my previous loan with them. But I kept all the e-mails and the loan documents that were sent by them. So this is what I sent by fax, email and certified letter:

"TJF Corp. and/or Bahamas Marketing Group
5700 Broadmoor Street
Mission, KS 66202
Phone #'s: 1-816-822-0724, 1-866-224-8777
Fax #: 1-866-224-8777

Your company may want to re-check your records regarding my loan by your company. Here are the e-mails, correspondences and loan documents sent to me.

You are once again reminded that telephone contact between your company and I are illegal. Only e-mail and/or letters sent by U.S. Postal Service are accepted. A record of the telephone contact between your company and me on 12-11-07 at 6:35am Pacific Time has also been sent to the California Attorney Generals Office, the F.T.C., the California Office of Financial Institutions and the B.B.B. Those offices have also been sent the e-mails and loan documents sent to me on June 5th, 2007. regarding my loan. Any contact by telephone is illegal once your company has been notified. A record of any telephone call will be recorded and once again sent to the proper offices.

I once again demand a refund check of $90.00 by your company for the illegal finance charge, ($300.00 principle and Illegal finance charge of $90.00) collected by your company. Once again, my letters and loan documents will be sent to you by E-mail, Fax and United States Certified Mail."

And these are the e-mails sent by them and an attachment of the loan documents at the bottom of the letter.

Now I have proof that a loan was granted by them. Let's see what they are going to do with it. Also, in both letters that I have faxed, e-mailed and sent by certified mail, I have told them that no telephone contact is allowed but they still called me. When I received their call this morning, the caller I.D. said it was from "913913" and also when I looked up the record of my calls online, there wasn't even a record of it. What should I do now if they keep calling? I've recorded the time and date of their call but I don't know what else to do.

Any help is appreciated, Ed.

Hey Volleyballmom. I'm always confused about how to get my name (edhue1000)as the poster. Anyways, yes they said they have no record of my loan. I sent them the e-mails they sent to me approving my loan and my loan documents. Isn't that something. Now to get them to refund my money. Also, how else can I get them to stop calling me? Thanks, Ed.

Hi Ed...when you visit the site, just be sure to log-in, upper right hand corner. If after you log in you visit a page and it shows you logged off, just hit the refresh button on your browser and it should fix it.

Lets see what they say to that letter...also, dont get your hopes up for a refund :( I know...but, just having them not take any more of your money and them granting you PIF status is big win!

Some PDL's will stop calling when you tell them to and some will not.

Has anyone ever had a threatening call from this company trying to say that they are going to have you locked up and charged for fraud on a payday loan?

That's a load off of my mind. I was pretty sure, but I wanted to hear it from someone else. Because of the way that the person approached me (and on my work phone at that)I reported them to the FTC. They made comments such as I could spend up to two years in jail, and my children being taken from me. I'm actually contacting my lawyer now. No one should be harassed in this way.
