Hi

I want to know if my account have protection plan and has been paid every month why the creditor end the account to collection agengy.. But my problem is Account care protection plan insurace, never write me that my claim was close.. I know because I call to know the status of my claim and they respond in my phone call to them we are sorry but your claim is close, they didn said why.. But they also said that I'm not allow to open a dispute or anything there decision are final and they dont have to answerd in writing.. I didn know that my account was with collection agency until they contact me and they are the one that said account care will not paid that they know in advance and thats why the account is in the collection agency... Collection agency said you paid US and account Care paid you.. I know is not legal and not true, .I open a claim in PR with the proper authotities Oficina Del Comicionado de Seguros, they are investigating account care they have 5 cases and continue arraiving more with the same situation but the big problem they are not register in PR to offer any prtection plan, is look like all the transaction and payment send to Account care are ilegal. Goverment offices consider this situation as a fraudulent that why account care is under investigation for the moment before they start a dispute in COURTS . Can you help me with some information please like, wich is the US Goverment agency to open a dispute about fraudulent insurance process etc. The collection agency request my mom personal information to request her to paid my debt, but my mom is not involve in the credit card...The collection agency are requesting all my family personal information, they said they will not wait for account care to paid...


Yes credit card protection plan.. I live in Puerto Rico. Account care look like is not register in Puerto Rico and for the moment they are under investigation by the Oficina del Comicionado De Seguros en PR, they are a goverment agency that investigate fraudulent and ilegal situation with all isnsurance company..

Yes the collection agency is in USA I think is MRS or MSR, I only takl to them 2 time, because of the way they treat me with threath...

I also need the name of the Institution to open also a claim with them.. I want to open a claim with Insurance the institution that approve to operate and sell insurance and protection plans in credit cards an individual..

Also I want if is exist the name of the company to open a claim for threath from the collection agency..

Could they be the ones you have talked to?

Also, I did find the info for Accountcare. They have an unsatisfactory record with the BBB, numerous complaints against them.

If this collection agency is making threats and not handling things appropriately, you can report this to the FTC. This is the agency that usually keeps track of these kinds of issues. If you go on their website, there is a section where you can file a complaint and list the details of the complaint. I dont know if that the collection agency because I dont have any information from them, only 2 call on October, but since then I have not received a call from them or any letters never, I dont call to then because I dont have there number and if I have it, Mr Cruz threat me that I'm not trust in any one on the agency, I also ask him once if I have a payment plan because sears offer one when the clam was in process with accoun Care and if I accept a payment plan the insurance protection will not paid to sears..... I need the website to report Account Care too.

Legally, the collection agency is supposed to send written notification that they are trying to collect a debt, how much the debt is for, etc. How much are they saying is owed?

If you want to file a complaint, you have to do it with the Federal Trade Commission. I can give you the website address where you can file the complaint, but you'll have to PM (Private Message) me via this forum,. You will need to sign in with your username guest_who_iam05 to PM me.

Another suggestion would be to contact Sears if you have not already done so, and advise them of what is going on. From what I understand, the Accountcare protection is an option that comes with the Sears card, but you don't have to take it.
