they think they are slick. has anyone heard of mrs morgan claims to be with "national Attorneys". somehow i was able to get a phone number out of her 877-202-5736 x275. spoke with her in great lengths and told me many of the exact scenarios i see posted. i called the number and asked the operator "IS this National Attorney Collection Agency". she went on to say "yes it is how may i help you . I then asked to be transferred to x275 to advise mrs morgan that her threats of legal actions would be forwarded to the state of CA . she tried to tell me i have them confused with a collection agency but told her the operator had already confirmed. she then said they were national attorney corp services and she HUNG UP ON ME! what kinda of attorneys hang up on you ?? maybe cause she was backed up into a corner and caught in a big black lie! i told her she and then rest of her group need to change up the scenarios a tad!! i cant belive the skank hung up on me. MRS MORGAN 877-202-5736 x275.

I have been contact by these butt wipes on Christmas morning. I figured it was a trap so I researched it today and yeah.....these posts have reassured me that NACS is a scam. I just contact the FTC at 877-383-4357. I suggest you do the same ASAP!!!!!!

I received a phone call from this company on Dec 21st or so. I was busy when I answered the line, so I took down their number, telling them I'd call back. I didn't until today (jan 7) and the loony lady representing my case first told me I'd waited too long to call and now my file was "down the hall" being prepared for "litigation" and then she refused to provide documentation to support any supposed debt. Has anyone actually been taken to civil court by these clowns? Also, has anyone attempted to pay their debt with the original debt collector after being contacted by this collection agency?

I talked to these guys today. They advised me that my debt could triple. When I asked him if he was a lawyer he said that he was with the pre-legal dept. So I said that he was basically just a collector then. He asked if I had been researching them online and I told him I had. He then said that I apparently had it all figured out and so he would just forward me for litigation. Whatever. He didnt even try. Apparently their reputation is beginning to proceed them.

I am getting calls from them also on a pay day loan I defaulted on. The woman that calls me can't even pronounce my name and she has a latino accent. They don't worry me, I think the next time they call I will let them know I am giving their name and number to my lawyer so that he can deal with it...maybe that will shut them up!!!

I dealt with this agency today. They also claimed I had an unpain payday loan, which is untrue. All I asked repeatedly was for them to provide me with their address. A street address, PO box, anything. Each time I asked I was transferred to a new "department", although it sounded like a bunch of people all in the same room. They refused to provide me with something as simple as their mailing address, and refused to provide a bar ID # for any supposed attorney who worked there. They just became belligerent. These peopleengage in illegal practices! Google the FDCPA, 15 USC 1692. Send them notice in writing, via certified mail, that they are in violation of the FDCPA. After you send notice any more violations are actionable in court with a minimum statutory penalty of $1000.
According to the US Better Business Bureau their address of record is:

I have been talking to a Paige Waller 877-202-5736 x201. Told me Saturday that if I didn't pay the $500 by Monday they will garnish my wages. She told me that she is done with me because I have been paying all of my other bills and that She will get the money for her client. She said that I needed to let something like my rent go late because it was that or garnishing my wages. I told her do what she had to do I didn't have the money. I am so glad I looked on here now and I can see it was a scam. I have reported it to the SCC here in Va. I told her that and she said well they can't do anything to us because I owe the money and since I do I will be garnished $4000 dollars along with the $500 I owe. These folks are something and I admit I was scared but if noone has been garnished or taken to court by them then I won't give her any money.

I got a call from them yesterday demainding that I pay my payday loan within 24 hours. When I called back today to ask them to send me something in writing and for their address I was told they were not in a position to give out their address. She told me she would send a supeona to Court. (I guess she does not know that they have to file a lawsuit first, before I can be supeoned.) I wonder if these people wake up in the morning and are happy about going to work to HARASS people and if they actually feel good about what they do for a living!

I contacted the original company I owed the money to. They advised me to call National attorney told them I needed a letter they refused. I told them I would call them back and make a payment. Well I didn’t so yesterday Paige phone, I again asked for a letter she refused she told that they were going to turn it over to the attorney. I told her I am willing to make payments she refuse. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she claims she was the supervisor, I asked to speak to an attorney she just wanted to argue with me. I collected for 12 years.. she broke the FCPA several times.....I going to pay the original creditor...

About Attorney Collection Services
Attorney Collection Services, Inc., Financial Recovery Systems, Inc. and California Cola, Inc. are three collection companies all owned and operated by Stuart Brown, aka Gary S. Brown and his wife Helen E. Gross Brown. Their ads make a big deal about having lawyers on staff within their organizations, housed at their offices. They don???t. They simply hire lawyers occasionally like anyone else.
However they falsely assume the lawyers identities by representing that each lawyer they hire actually has his law office at their address. Of course the attorneys already have offices for their practice in other cities many miles away. This fundamental, structural con means that every time a client, debtor, attorney or court writes, emails or calls directly to what they think is the named attorney, only the Browns see the correspondence and may respond as though they were the attorney without the actual attorney ever seeing a thing (or getting paid to do it).
This is all completely fraudulent and violates several state and federal laws, and Bar Association restrictions against falsely representing oneself as an attorney and member of the bar. The California State Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Attorney General have each been informed of this practice, yet not a finger has been lifted.http://www.collectorsexposed.com/forum2/Smileys/yarex2/lipsrsealed.gif
Their favorite con however is one they learned from Helen???s father who was temporarily disbarred for the time he got caught. It involves collecting judgments for clients that have recently won court cases, or large business to business collections. Once the Browns are chosen to collect, they have their clients sign ???routine??? documents which among other questionable arrangements grant the Browns their client???s power of attorney.
Jordan & Deason once hired the Browns to collect a $360,000 judgment for a 16.6% commission. The amount was necessary to recover and pay ongoing medical costs resulting from an accident. The Browns indeed collected the full $360,000 and more by forcing the sale of the judgement debtor, an older woman???s house. However, they reported to their client that they only could get $250,000 for which they would take their commission and after manipulating the accounting to hide the extra funds, they kept their commission plus $110,000 of gravy for themselves. http://www.collectorsexposed.com/forum2/Smileys/yarex2/huh.gif
There are several other cases with a similar story, or about repeated blatant violations of the FCPA by the Browns. The cases read like a bad detective novels where the villains repetitively just wouldn???t tell the truth even if their mother???s lives depended on it.
This pair has been taken to court by numerous parties. A partial list of suits against them, just in federal courts, are listed below. There are many more at the state level, mine included. These few ???pigeons??? were brave enough to fight it out in court. Each of them likely represents a dozen or more others that were conned by the Browns, but never complained.
My question is why does society allow such scoundrels to roam the earth freely even when their high-jinks are repeatedly proven in front of judges in civil court. Where are the prosecutors? http://www.collectorsexposed.com/forum2/Smileys/yarex2/embarrassed.gif
In California you can be sent away for life for committing ???three strikes??? and those strikes can be for stealing a blanket or piece of pizza. Certainly most strikes involve less than a few $ thousand in damage, or are victimless crimes. Yet these people continue to con others for tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The Browns recently declared bankruptcy, with around a $ million in debt, but due to seven counts of fraud and abuse related just to their conduct in relation to those hearings, the bankruptcy court refused to grant any discharge of their debts. I wonder why they didn???t just invite the Attorney General to read the record? Isn???t the number seven (times dozens) greater than three?http://www.collectorsexposed.com/forum2/Smileys/yarex2/undecided.gif

I just got a call from National Attorney. I was informed that it was regarding a pending legal litigation against my sister. The caller would not tell me who the plaintiff was, which I thought was public knowledge when the case was filed. She then went on to tell me that my sister owed a debt and that she would end up paying 3 times the amount if she didn't pay by the end of the day. When I asked for her company's address, she wouldn't give it to me. She did tell me that the debt was for an unpaid payday loan(very illegal). I just filed a complaint with the FTC. For everyone on this blog: The FTC informed me that you can send a certified letter to National Attorney Collection (or any collection agency) stating that you don't want to be contacted by phone anymore, and that you wish to only be contacted by mail. Make sure that you send it certified mail with a returned signature receipt. After they receive this they can only call you ONE more time in the next 30 days, and then never again after that. Please call the FTC and register a complaint against National Attorney. The FTC will start an investigation if enough people register a complaint. These people will not go away if you just don't answer your phone. Do something to strike back. I don't believe that they have any attorneys on staff, or are willing to pay an attorney to collect such small amounts of debt. Don't let them intimidate you and make sure that you stay calm so you can trap them in a conversation. If they don't say "this is an attempt to collect a debt, and all information from this conversation will be used to try to collect that debt" before they start talking to you about business, its an automatic violation. Write down the name of the caller and the time. Good luck to you all in these already tough and trying times.

I too got a call from them. However, they were calling on a legit loan I had with a Check N Go store. While they were not too pleasant, they did not make any threats at me. My lawyer says that I do owe the money to the Check N Go place, and it is far better to start making payments now before the loan is sold off to someone else. So, I called Check N Go, and they worked out an arrangement. Before you blow these guys off, you better make sure you don't really owe someone.

They've gone as far as calling my cell phone to request information on a relative to collect funds. I told them that they are calling my cell and I do not know them and I am forwarding this information to the "Do not call list". I also requested information of what was owed so I can forward this information. They have threatened me and, In return, I told them I have their name and phone number, and also, told them to be careful of how they are approaching me to get this information. As far as I know, we are protected by law and everything they say is self incriminating. So.., to all, keep good records of time, date and brief notes of these calls of what was discussed. This usually holds up in court (if it goes that far).

Hi, Just to let you know that it is very difficult to come out
Hi,
Just to let you know that it is very difficult to come out of payday loans so they are the ones which need to be paid off as soon as possible as theirs interest rates are very high. The creditors seem to be harassing the debtors with their abusive language or even threatens to seize their property if they are not able to repay. It is more interesting to know that payday loans are not legal in all the states. You should have a sound knowledge of how things work for all the states so you can even sue the creditor whenever required.
my name is rave
Hi there. My name is Rave. I work for G.C. Services which is the largest and oldest
collection agency. Let me tell you one thing. Google your states FDPCA laws.
Read through them very carefully. You will find that the only state that can proceed
with a civil money judgment against a person is my company and thats only because
we work along-side most courts. A collection firm can not legally prossecute a persone without right of notice and court issued apparence for trial.
You have nothing to worry about. All you have to do is give a verbal cease and desistce to have the calls stop. You can also have a court issued sapeana for all the records that they have on you. Without a hard copy of the suposed debt that they claim you owe you can not have realed or owned property leaned against. And unless you are taken to court over the matter then they can not garnish your wadges.
So all and all there's not much to worry about
if you wish to contact me back you can find me on myspace or e-mail me deleted..pm

I asked him to send me paper work again he said "no that it was sent once that it isnt his problem if i didnt get it" and that i needed to "stop playing games and pay my debt"..i then started to get upset and i asked him why his customer service was so poor and him treating me the way he was he said "what makes u think this is customer service i work for an attorneys office" i asked him if this call was recorded he said "no we dont need to record our calls" I stated the way that i am being treated the calls do need to be recorded.....I then asked to speak with his supervisor due to him being very rude and if he was in a real attorneys office i know that is not how they talk to u...I then was transfered to Paige Wolfford..she said she didnt know what was going on placed me on hold as she got my case she said...she had me verify my info name witch i did...She then started stating the samething the 2 other "attorneys" stated....I told her that i understand the charges and told her the reason i was transfer was due to the last 2 reps i spoke with were very rude she said "ok is this about your case or about a complaint she said we only need to handle one at a time" i said it had to do with the complaint...i explained to her that i know what i own and that i did mess up and that i do want to pay it back but with me just getting back to work i didnt have all the funds but would like to be set up on a payment plan she told me that they dont do payment plan and have you pay it off all at once...she then placed me back on hold for a couple of mins got back on the line and said "i am not suppose to do this but ill do it for u ill settle this account for 275.00 that will need to be paid by june 4th" I thought that was a good deal i then told her that since i just got back to work i needed to add up my bills to make sure that i will have the funds available...she said well what we need to do is "u give me your account number and ill set up the paper work" I told her i didnt know my routing numbers off the top of my head she said she would look up the routing number she just needed my account number... i asked her to call me back in 30 mins after i got home so i can add up my bills and if the fund were available i would give her my account number..She said that she is leaving work in 14 mins and that she has other things that she needs to do before she leaves work and that she was doing me a favor by settleing the account for 275.00 i thanked her for helping me out i told her that i didnt want to give her my account info just in case i dont have all the fund available..she said to "give her my account number and if i dont have the funds available then to call her back and she would cancell the transaction that would take place on june 4th" I didnt like that very well as she KEEP asking me for my account number...She then told me that if i didnt pay the 275.00 by june 4th that i would be charged 1200.00 i said were did that amount come from she said "well if u would grab a pen and write this information down so i dont have to repeat myself 14 times" I then was so fed up with 3 reps being so rude who stated that they work for an attorneys office that i then hung up on her..After calming down i called the 877-202-5736 number back and asked for there address the girl that answerd said "what...what are u talking about we dont give out the address" She then transfered me!!!! This whole thing is real fishy to me that one rep told me that i could pay by june 15th and then 30 days later pay the rest...and the last rep told me i had to pay by june 4th no later!!!!

of course it's fishy.this is a bottomfeeding scam collector.if this was an internet loan then chances are great that was an illegal loan.meaning that unless nothing was debited at all.you owe 350.00 nothing more.here is what you do.
1)file a police report for the call as this mr harrison broke the law with his threat.
2)file AG,and FTC complaints against this lawbreaking bunch.
3)do not call them again, and hang up or ignore them if they call again.
that's it.they are not attorney's.they are collection scammers.
scam artists. not lawyers.
I worked for these clowns for 4 days. They are nothing but debt collection agency with a bunch of scum bags running the place. They don't care about you all they want is the money. The people that call you are not lawyers they don't work for a lawyer, they are not in downtown los angeles in a hi rise. They are nothing. Don't pay em. I would get their names (by the way the names are made up) and report any violation to the state you live in. Even better let them leave you a message. If they say anything that is against the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. You can actually sue them. They have many pending lawsuits. They cannot threaten you, disclose any information regarding your case/debt to anyone other then you. This place is a scam, that's why I left. They are not attorneys by any stretch of the imagination. About 1 out 1000 actually go to court. That is usually someone who owes many thousands. So. Don't pay national attorneys. Contact the place you got the loan or contact a attorney (a real one) and find out your rights. I hope this helps.
wrong address.

I have been reading a lot of the posts on here and I too was contacted last week and today by some guy saying he was an attorney with National Attorneys and that he was collecting money for a payday loan. He told me I had to pay within a few days or it would triple. I was worried at first but glad I didn't give them a dime! After finding out they were a fraud, I called back and no answer of course, but just some fake voicemail recording. I then told them that they better not contact me ever again or legal action would be taken and that I knew they were a scam and a fraud. I just think its really ashamed for people to do junk like that. It's really ashame and I'm letting everyone I know about this number who contacted me: 877-202-5736 ext.269 or any other extension. It is a scam and I hope they get caught up with. They even had the nerve to contact my job as if they were real attorneys. Disgusting!
