I was never good with money.

Mom and Dad did bail me out some, but I was never good with money.
I moved to a cheaper place, and things started to even out, so I turned to MMI to consolidate other debts. I was doing okay, but I needed my car fixed and the only way I could get the money was do one of those quick pay day loans. I know they are pricey and some are shady, but I had no other way to borrow the money. I would have been okay, but then I lost my job and had to hold on what I had for necessities until I got a new one. I didn't pay the loan back.
Now I have a much better paying job and I want to catch up, but many debtors don't want to accept smaller payments through MMI and one of the collection agencies will only accept credit card, electronic transfer or pay out the nose for western union.
Yes, my income is alot better, but I still have to keep up with current bills. I can pay off my old debts, but I can't pay everyone everything all at once.
I'm glad to hear your doing better and have a better paying job,
I'm glad to hear your doing better and have a better paying job, since these are all past due, I would just pick the one with the lowest balance and call them, see if you can get a settlement that you can afford, have them send it to you in writing and tell them you will mail them a money order. Even if they don't accept this, as long as you have your settlement in writing, I would make a copy of your settlement and mail this along with your money order to the company (make sure you keep a copy of the money order) I've never heard of any company returning a money order. Then after about 10 days (enough time for it to clear) call them and ask when you can expect your letter stating your account is "settled"
Do this with each one and just make sure you get everything in writing, and make sure the settlement letter doesn't sneak anything in like you must pay with a cc, etc.
Good luck

Good to know you are doing better. As you said, you can't pay back everything all at once-- but atleast you are making the effort and trying to cover what you have done. Time will fix it. I hope your creditors work with you.
