if your wages are garnished in nh can it be enforced if you work in ma

Hi..I think I know what you are trying to say..I handle wage garnishments for a living, so I can try to help.

I would need to know more about the debt..Is it consumer? Or is it a fed debt? Also, I'm assuming you moved from New Hampshire to Mass? How long have you been a resident of Mass? If this is a consumer debt it probably won't follow you. If you want to be more specific about it, you can feel free to pm me and I can help,

I live in NH. My husband has a large debt on a credit card. Was just contacted by a collection agency that the debt was written off a couple of years ago, we still owe on it. Told be she was in final processes & said that the debt was due to go to their attorneys on Wednesday & unless I came up with $2000 in 2 weeks & post dated checks to her for $250.00 for 1 year she would garnish my husbands wages because thats the law in NH is that true
