I told her that I wanted to validate the debt because it was, according to my calculations and the laws in Florida, past the SOL.
Again, she said that they have sent "many" letters to me and when I asked her, do have any proof that I have received them, she said, "We sent them.". I kept telling her that unless she had a receipt with my signature, I have not received anything from them and to please give me the address so I can send them a letter to "validate my debt".
We went on and on for about 15 minutes, she telling me that I refusing to pay and me asking her for her address until she finally gave up and screamed something at me and hung up.
Now, I need to have her address to send her (them) a letter, but I do not have a reference or account # and I do not feel compfortable sending them my Social Security #.
How should I handle this?
Thanks.

Also when you request address that falls under meaningful identification of the CA, failure to provide such is a violation of the fdcpa. As was screaming at you, calling you at work if you told her that it was prohibited at your work place also calling your cell phone was a violation as well.

Also, I wanted to add that this woman said that I was past the validation date. I didn't know there was a timeframe for them to validate the debt. I kept telling her that it was past the SOL, and she kept saying that it is past the validation period.
Does that mean that they do not have to validate the debt because the time has expired?

This sems to be a question nobody has the answer to!!

A typical dunning letter says you have 30 days from the date you receive the letter to dispute it or they will assume the debt is valid. You can still request validation. The expired SOL simply means they cannot sue you for it as it is a time barred debt.

Sorry, I forgot to sign-in. I don't recall seeing a letter from them and that is what I told her. She said that they sent one in October. When I asked her if she had proof that I received it, she said, we sent it and that is it. Your validation time has expired. That is why I want to sent a Certified Letter requesting validation of debt, because I really don't agree with what they say that I owe.
Well, I posted the address. So feel free to send the letter.
