Has anyone heard of Glacial Star Group?

Send them a cease and desist letter via certified mail.
They can contact your employer once to locate you. They may not divulge any personal info.

But if they contact my supervisor, I am afraid they are going to say that they are a collection agency and they are trying to contact me. Even though they didn't provide personal information, the fact that they say they are a collection agency, gives the impression that I am not paying my bills. That would be embarassing.

What ever came of this? Did they contact your employer? I rec'd a call from them too.

I received a call from Glacial Star Group yesterday. They told me that they sent a letter to my house in April but I never received anything. They were trying to tell me that I owed them money from a payday loan that I had 2 years ago that I paid in full. I have the confirmation number from the company. They sent the collection letter to me at work yesterday and called this morning telling me I had until noon to pay it. I called the company that I supposedly owed money to and they told me that my account was paid in full and I was not sent to a collection agency. I called the Glacial back and told them this and they still told me that I owed the money. I told them I was going to get a letter from the loan company clearing me of this. Watch out for them!!

I received calls from them at my job and I called a Sean and Sandra back and told them to not call me at my job. They said they have sent me letters, but I have never received anything from the. They are collecting for Midland Financial and Fox Enterprises. The number I have for them is 1-866-859-1527

these guys are full of it, they are collecting for a debt i didn't have from a company that bankrupt me. Charge.com and pipeline data, did online credit card transactions for me, until they emptied my bank account, even when i blocked them they came up with a different name to take my money, ripping me off thousands and now sent me to glacial star group to collect a debt i don't owe and attempt to ruin my credit, i don't know what to do, i've contacted the BBB and the attorney general and this company won't stop ripping me off, i'm broke lost my company because of them and even if i paid to get rid of them they'd make more illegal filings, anyone have any ideas, email me at [email]mongodawg@yahoo.com[/email] thanks

I have been recieving calls from Glacier Star Group and they all are hard to understand as they all have very strong accents. The number on my phone shows up as +5155. When you try to call it back it tells you to dial a one and the area code. As soon as I answer they confirm my name and then ask me to confirm my social security number or address! I refuse to give them either until they tell me what it is regarding. Then they tell me it is an important business matter and that they can not tell me anything else until I confirm my ssn or address. I hang up on them ever time because I feel that if they were legit they could give me some info on what it is regarding. They will not leave me alone now though and I do not know how to get them to stop calling me. Could this be a scam?

Wow I was just doing some research on these guys and your story matches mine!! I work third shift and they called me consistently during my normal sleeping hours. When they call its from 4 digit numbers, with strong accents and each of them had very generic american names such as "Nikc Carter" "Ron James" and "Jack Collins". So today when they called I had my fill, and decided to unload some questions of my own on them! First I demanded to know where he was from, given the obviously fake name and accent. He informed me he works for Glacial Star Group but lives and is calling from India....Delhi to be exact.
When he started askin for my last four or mailing address, I asked him how he expected me to give him such sensitive information when he wouldnt even tell me his REAL name!! He tried telling me american law prohibits him from doing so. I told him he was full of shit and I wasnt telling him a damn thing unless he told me his real name. We went round and round for about 20 mins and connected me to his supervisor who spoke worse english than the first guy. I told his supervisor "Nick Carter" the same thing,...give me the information I want so I know hes legit or he wasnt getting anything from me. Eventually he called me "uncooperative" and an "american jerk" and hung up on me.
Personally I think its shady, four digit telephone numbers, a delaware mailing address when online it says New York...and asking ME to give THEM my information so they can verify??? Ive spoken to collectors before and theyve always known who I was and didnt call from 4 digit numbers. Id be verrrrrrrrrrrry careful...needless to say after today I doubt they will be calling me back.

Bad news. Run from Charge.com/Pipeline Data/CTS Holdings Run fast. They will drain your checking account of fees you didn't agree to and when you have to shut down your checking account, because they won't stop drawing, they have their credit collectors scam going. Glacial Star will sell your info to another recovery, they will try to get the dollars out of you, you pay the other recovery off and then Glacial Star will take over again saying you owe more.
