I too also had about $10.000 in PDL that my husband did not know about and I had to file bankrupcy as it was a nightmare phone calls at all hours and I lost 40 pounds and was so sick Ithought I was going to die. they have not stopped calling even after I gave them my file number they told me I have to fax all this stuff to them. good luck

Oh my gosh Medina I am so sorry you had to go through all of that. Can you possibly change your phone number so you dont have to deal with them anymore?

stargzr made a great suggestion, I would go to my cell phone provider and tell them you are receiving harassing phone calls and ask them to change my number. I am sure under the circumstances they will work with you on that. Good luck. :)

How about having your bankruptcy attorney send them a letter directly?

They could sue her . . . . . It is a possibilty . . . . . But they usually will wait about 8 months or more before taking that step.

For the pdls, what state are you living in? If you could list what state you are in,
who the payday loans are with
how much was borrowed from each one
the total amount paid back to each one

might be able to help with possible getting those out of your hair, which would help with some of the finances

Sorry to hear about your wife. well, you may go ahead and change your phone number, but what if they get hold of your new number as well by hook or by crook. if you feel that you do not have any other options other than filing for bankruptcy, then go ahead with that. serves them right! :twisted: they will not get anything now. try talking to them regarding a debt management program. if they come around, fine, or else go ahead with bankruptcy, and start afresh.
