I live in Ohio and I need help with the following:
AIP-$300 loan-paid $178 in fees
Internet Funding Corp. $200 loan-paid $120 in fees
achloan-$300 loan-paid $210 in fees

I can't keep up-I will never be able to pay these off! They keep debiting my account and the $$ is not there so they double the finance charge 2 weeks later. I can't close my account because-I was lucky to get this bank account in the first place. I need to get my account current and make sure it doesn't get closed. Can someone help me please???

Have you tried telling your bank to stop all electronic fund transfers?

Jennifer I am sorry you are having a hard time. Someone will be along to help you soon. You can also check out the banking forum, they have listed banks that dont use the chex system and are friendly to people like us that have had problems. If you can close it that is the best way to stop the debts, if not have you called them to try to make some kind of payment arrangements?
JenniferHrusch, I'm not sure which bank your current account is
JenniferHrusch, I'm not sure which bank your current account is with, nor do I know your history, but I live in Ohio also, and I'm pretty sure I know of a bank that will accept you. First, why don't you go to another bank and try to open an account (before you close this one out, if you PM me I will give you the name of the bank), your best bet is to CLOSE your current account immediately! I am thinking that maybe if you open another account before this one is closed it might be a little easier, and I do know of a bank that pretty much accepts everyone, in Ohio. I could be wrong about this, if so, I hope someone who DOES know will respond. If you absolutely can NOT get another account, then go to your bank and ask them to put a hard debit block on it. You need to stop these PDL's before they suck you dry! After you have done one or the other (hard debit block, or close your account) you can contact these PDL's and try to set up payment arrangements, only contact them AFTER you have done one or the other.
